Looks like it is that time of year again. Esquire is ready to deliver their Big Black Book for Autumn and Winter 2011. Online, they’re previewing the hell out of the periodical which many consider to be a nice go-to guide to current seasonal style. The man behind the scenes at Big Black Book, David Granger,  gives a look back at the history of the publication which first delivered back in 2006.

Unboxing and technology dissections are so common these days that there are websites which track and report on them almost on the daily. How many times can I watch a guide on unpacking an Asus or iPod? But even I was way interested when NotCot published their dissection of Esquire’s 75th Anniversay E-Ink Cover. “As a random Sunday amusement, couldn’t help picking it up from the newsstand, and as much as i resisted, i lasted a few minutes before i HAD to rip it apart and poke at the digital guts. So on the next page you can see video of it before and after, pictures of how it works, and scans as well!”

Denim continues to dominate the legs of men worldwide. For as much as some willpass denim over as being "unsophisticated" major mens mags continue to compete with women’s journals on keeping their audience on top of progressive denim trends. Wemay not agree with all the choices in Esquire Magazines "Guide to Denim," but atleast comfort can be taken in knowing Esquire still cares in pairing the ride rags together.

Designboon has the scoop on the newly unveiled Esquire 75th Anniversary celebratorycovers, as shown in Milan. “esquire recently asked some of the world’s most influential fashion designers to recreate some of the magazine’s most iconic covers. the project was initiated to celebrate the magazine’s 75 anniversary. all of the works, with the exception of one, are based of covers conceived by esquire’s long time art director george lois. in his career with the magazine, he helped create 92 covers. a show featuring highlights from his career is currently on show at new york’s museum of modern art.”
