Flo Scandinavia delivers a new eyeglass and sunglass frames for Spring Summer. The frames, for Cheap Monday, get a “Crude” treatment to give some texture to the models – 17 in all. Coming soon, a joint optical effort between Kaneko and Silas. The Japanese eyewear manufacturer has been going strong since 1958, with new life breathed into the brand via some choice collaborations with the likes of Porter, SOPH, Nonnative and Uniform Experiment.

Oliver Peoples whips up a dosing of new eyewear for The Soloist. The Takahiro Miyashita collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses will appeal to most. What will not is the difficulty in getting your hands on them: they are a hard find outside of Asia.

One for our ocularly challenged brethren out there. If your eyesight isn’t up to scratch and your glasses very much prescription rather than unnecessary stylistic flourish, we feel your pain. Luckily, being far or near sighted means you get to don some smart frames and imagine you’re Bruce Boyer or Gandhi. The Sheldrake is inspired by another legendary spectacle wearer (and hair genius) Andy Warhol. Police FramesItalian eyeglass company Police have been doing their thing since 1983 however they look back a few decades earlier for these 50s inspired frames. For those of you not ready to commit to the full Buddy Holly look these two styles, V1697 and V1699, offer something that falls between modern and retro. Austria’s Rolf delivers these wood eyeglass frames that stand out for their unique look as well as touch. On the outside of the frame, a thin layer of stone has been applied to give it a natural distressed or corrosive look. We’ve never seen anything like these before. Amazing look.

Salt Optics show us a few upcoming styles due out later this year. The California based company creates simple, classic frames. The Dumont, Townsend and Yates, all inspired by the past whilst retaining a modern feel. These new frames are an impressive addition to their current collection.

Terry Richardson gets a signature model of his own from the great MOSCOT brand. Take a video walkthrough above. MOSCOT has them.

The tortoise works on these Selima Optique eyeglasses seen over on Mr. Porter. Rather than running with a round frame, the tortoise is best shown on the slightly oval. A good refresh on your frames if you’re down.

One of our favourite new ranges showing at Capsule Paris was Lunettes Kollektion, a Berlin based eyewear range. Starting out as a store selling vintage eyewear, they just moved into creating their own versions based on some of the vintage numbers they’d acquired. They’ve got a sense of humour too, labelling one of their frames ‘arty farty’ because they’ve become the glasses of choice for folks wishing to simultaneously look smart and copy the beat generation. Elsewhere it’s a stupendous, splendiferous collection of fabolous verbosity. (Sorry, we just watched ‘Don King – Only in America’ the other day).
