I think it’s finally safe to say that Emma Watson is the new Natalie Portman. The young actress is of course the highlight of the Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2009 campaign as shot by Mario Testino and designed by Christopher Bailey. We bring you some behind the scenes look from the shoot which took place in Westminster, which features classic outerwear for the latter end of the year.

Our good friends at Hypebeast turn us onto the glamb line from Japan. A casual yet rugged menswear line, glamb features all the finishings on outerwear you would expect with that very Japan contemporary flavor. We’re hoping for more from glamb on this side of the world.

Fashonisto turns us onto Diwon Man’s debut collection coming for Autumn 2009. “Boasting a full-range collection, Diwon Man is set to impress right from the beginning with their sharp line that includes smart suiting pieces and a chic array of leather outerwear. Surprisingly, their offerings also touch upon casual wear for the city dweller. It is in this fashion that Diwon Man remains in sync with the modern man’s needs.” The casualness of the line is really the selling point to me as they mix street fashion with a more middle ground menswear look. Also impressive is their accessories which we hope to have better views of soon.

Our Berlin office received word on a new pair of shoes by Vibskov for his Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. There is a great deal going on with this shoe from the suede’s to the leather fringe on the toe box. We can only imagine what these will be styled against in the future.

Jean//Phillip is a young, up and coming label from Copenhagen who are rolling non-stop into a territory of fashion usually reserved for the high end players. “For a label so young, the monochromatic collection of complimentary textures and finishes is quite impressive. The collection goes out of its way to exhibit a sense of modernism, while still maintaining highly desirable and very ready-to-wear.” (fashonisto)

Our friends at Fashionisto point us towards a great Summer 2009 campaign from Matinique’s Blue label collection which focuses in on casual wears for the city and street.

“Prostitution Institution” is the name of the new Autumn/Winter collection from Trimäpee. Coute que Coute turned us onto this line Australian line. “Trimäpee is an Australian based fashion label with designs that define eclectic artistic thinking. Unique collections with conceptual themes make each Trimäpee garment a product of character expression, rather than the attempt of mimicking mainstream fashion.”
