We first mentioned Mr. Hare some time ago before their 2009 launch. Today, he’s back with a collection for Autumn which is sure to get some hungry. In his words. “For me the AW10 collection was inspired by the city of Paris. The cigarette smoke stain that a smoking ban can’t erase. The shitty clubs. The chic fight. The never appearing taxis. The snooty girls. The complex. The language. The Attitude. God! I love that city. I remember standing under the Eiffel Tower aged 10, with all my classmates and marveling at the sheer decadence of pure aesthetic, Paris had, but London had never struck me with. Paris had an air and it was graceful.”

“Gieves and Hawkes, one of London’s most famous tailors, made their Menswear London Fashion Week debut a while back for Autumn/Winter 2010. I’m not really into the suiting business, although i do admire what these guys do and what they go through to get bespoke wear. It’s interesting none the less” (189)

Despite us not mentioning them that much, we’re quite the fans of Factotum. This runway is a perfect example of why; focusing on the wearable rather than the edgy, Factotum make clothes that are easy to wear (provided you can fit into Japanese sizes) and simply exist to make the wearer look good.  With more leather jackets and parkas than you can shake a stick at, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was influenced by British music (we see a bit of Oasis mixed in Keith Richards). We don’t know of any US or Europe based retailers yet, but this is a brand worth getting your proxy on for.

Man vs. Machine sent over their Autumn/Winter 2010 lookbook for your viewing pleasure. The New York City based label offers some street ready looks that will help those with a youthful wardrobe smarten up without compromising much in terms of style. The new Won Hundred Autumn/Winter 2010 lookbook arrived in our inbox this morning. Their inspiration is intriguing and the conceptual imagery is worth a view. Some notes on the line: “Inspired by the straight lines and hard shapes from the cubistic art, combined with the soft and natural influences from the collage art of the same era. Materials like wood, paper and all sorts of found objects are glued and taped together. While black, grey and white are key, this seasons colours range from spice brown to a dark duffel bag green accented a washed out aubergine and a muted jade green.”

Their notes sum it up in a youthful way. “We finally get some solid looks at the ts(s) fall/winter 2010 collection, which i’ve been waiting on for a little while now. My god, the Suzuki family have some serious talent, these guys are pretty much unstoppable. If you didn’t know, Takuji Suzuki is the founder and designer of ts(s), brother of Engineered Garments founder Daiki Suzuki. So clothing kind of runs in the family. I really like the intricacy featured in this collection, there are so many hidden details.”
