The mega-retailer ASOS is pushing hard these days into the U.S.A. market (harder than usual). Piggybacking on this push is the launch of their own in-house collection under the ASOS Black title. East Coast U.S.A.’s racquet sports brand, Boast, has relaunched for the Autumn 2010 season. Some background on the line in case you are not familiar, which may be the case seeing as much of their wears was previously only sold through racquet sport clubs.

“In 1973, Bill St. John, the bold tennis pro at Greenwich, CT’s Field Club, set out to create an athletic apparel brand unlike any before. St. John was inspired by similarly defiant athletes of his time, like John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors. As Americans began to exert their excellence on the tennis court, St. John felt it was time to challenge European brands at their own game.”

GQ gets a first look at the forthcoming Autumn 2010 collection from NY’s UNIS line. A good mix of men’s garments make up the collection which plays it relatively safe amongst the classic and contemporary plays. No piece is overdone. Dig in.

ACL is getting much love on SL this week. Their content heavy looks just keep on pouring in. IN the last couple of days, ACL has featured looks into Japan’s BEAM line by showcasing lookbook shots from their current Autumn 2010 offering. I have a fishy feeling we’ll be seeing BEAMS in the domestic U.S.A. soon, especially with the influx of other Japan “flagship” giants in NYC.

You have to hand it to Kitsuné. The French brand has done something interesting with their Voyager collection. They have convinced Mackintosh to allow them to “rework” three classic trench coats for Autumn 2010. Three initial cities – Tokyo, Paris, and London – are all represented with through three individual trench coats. They have “integrated into each item some very special pockets: one for your passport, one that enables you to catch your pen easily, a chest pocket which is the perfect size for your flight ticket or your immigration documents. Of course each item is designed in the finest rain coat material true to Mackintosh with a Kitsuné touch.

We’ve been on the W.O.R. tip for some time and we’re not alone. Warriors appeared on the cusp of a new appreciation for what many call surf. Truth is that would be a compartmentalizing their message.
