Colettte’s newsletter lets us know that our favourite men’s fashion magazine, Fantastic Man, have a new cologne out soon. A collaboration with Swedish company Byredo, the fragrance mixes a number of notes, including Incense, Lavender and Patchouli. We also get a peek at the forthcoming cover of the new issue of Fantastic Man, which has Bret Easton Ellis as it’s cover star. The fragrance will be available exclusively from Colette from March 9th.

Twitter has been a jumping point for everything from breaking news to Rapper disputes. Now it’s the catalyst in Style Salvage’s interview with the deputy editor of Fantastic Man, Charlie Porter. In the extensive interview, everything from the recession to his favourite fashion moments and his thoughts on how menswear is covered in newspapers.

“I personally think it’s an outrage that newspaper editors completely ignore men’s shows. They should do both. Fashion is fashion.”

The Sartorialist published some great photography from his recent shoot for Fantastic Man #8 featuring Chanel Menswear. Using his usual street style of shooting, the images are presented in black and white, rather than the usual color photography used on his popular blog. Charlie Porter, deputy editor of the much loved Fantastic Man, has an interesting article on how blogs are changing the fashion show game and making celebrities out of those who were previously invisible.

An interesting point that isn’t brought up often is how those people who don’t get photographed feel about it. Porter himself admits to only having his picture taken twice and says that the second time he only got his picture taken because he was next to two far better dressed colleagues. Victoria Young, Pop magazine’s fashion director had this to say about the matter, "If you don’t have your picture taken, and other people around you do, it feels very much like they’re cool and you’re not".
