We’re were going to make a melange/Solange Knowles wordplay joke but we feel it’d be too obscure even for our rather obscure tastes. You’ll have to make do with this lovely jumper, which is more than enough to make up for one aborted joke. You’ll have to buy it yourself though, we’re not that generous – even on thanksgiving. Ideally we’d wear it to battle and impress our fellow soldiers with our next level camouflage. Failing that, we’ll wear it to work and hope someone notices how great our jumper is. Paul Barbera’s ‘Where They Create‘ takes a look at studios and offices of the creative, this time stopping off in the Acne Stockholm studio. Their showroom used to be  a grand ballroom in the old banking days and it’s quite the sight. Looks like a great place to work/accidentally leave with a bunch of samples.

Stutterheim’s back at it, bringing out a new colour of their raincoat. Like all Stutterheim coats it is handmade and numbered and, for any girls who like a proper coat, it goes down to an XX small. To paraphrase a great scholar, this is some givenchy worth getting raunchy for. Leather sleeves are a thing at the moment, but don’t let that put you off. This is a half recommendation, as we think this jumper’s good but not great. We’re no designers but we can’t help but think that this would’ve been better off as a knitted baseball jacket. But that’s just us nitpicking. (Ssense)

The latest shoot with stylist Olie Arnold and C.P. Company demonstrates how the brand has created a wearable and adaptable collection for Autumn/Winter 2011, suitable for any environment.

This collection from C.P Company takes references from both the past and future to create a new contemporary identity for the brand. C.P Company are known for the painstaking research they do into the history of styles and the technical qualities of fabric, this collection has its roots in the military and outdoor apparel of the 1950s, bringing them together in a contemporary urban environment, as demonstrated by the East London location of the shoot.

The combination of C.P. Company product, mixed here with other designer labels, is all available from Oki-Ni.

‘Attention grabbing’, ‘investment piece’, ‘it’ll stay with you for decades’. These are all phrases you’ll hear when describing a jacket like this. You’ll hear this mainly because (a) it’s an expensive item and (b) it’s a nice item. Jackets like this remind us that we’re in sore need of a sugar daddy, we’re still accepting applications people.
