The history and current day legacy of snuff is one not often spoken about. Here in the USA, I have yet to meet someone who indulges in the age old habit of snuff, but lucky for us, Martin Pilkington across the pond knew exactly where to go to get an inside look at the current day “popularity” of snuff, the paraphernalia around the habit, as well as a little of its dark side. Yes, snuff.

Right as rain, the popular theme of 2010 continues to run through to the Autumn season. Farah 1920, a special capsule collection from Farah Vintage, celebrates 90 years of manufacture and draws direct inspiration from key moments in company history.

Our newest feature highlights the varied cultural associations that helped Farah build a legacy. In short, it is as much about the pieces that come together to form a heritage story than the particular Farah story.

Illustrating the piece are period advertisements and historically based mock-ups like that seen above.
