Filippa K has always been a long-time favorite brand of mine. The sleek silhouettes and well-crafted pieces offer not only a very sophisticated look, but it stands out amongst all of the other million-dollar brands. The “Black Long Peacoat” is a wool double-breasted peacoat. The really distinct wide collar gives you great protection in those crazy wind chills. The shell is 80% wool and 20% polyamide and has slit side pockets with eight buttons. The lining is 50% acetate and 50% viscose and offers: tone on tone stitching, hidden interior pocket and a single hidden button underneath the collar. The pre Fall collection from Filippa K for 2009 gives “an appreciative nod” to the  ”sartorial workmanship” found in classic tailoring. “Double breasted short jackets are coupled with pleated wide pants, details such as a gold button or elbow patches create the feeling of each garment, each detail being handpicked; a quality that is characteristic of the individualist to whom the collection speaks to.”
