Selectism - Whyred Crayle Boots

Desert boots will never grow old it would seem. Whyred gets into the game with their Crayle Boot made from Italian calf-skin leather on the upper and “cuoio” soles. The color is what’s pulling me on these. A rich brown tint which will age wonderfully with wear.  Get them now at C Store.

Lodger Wrapped Whole Cut Shoes for 20LTD

Selectism - Lodger Wrapped Whole Cut Shoes for 20LTD

20LTD is back with some new wears. These shoes from Lodger are part of a “20″ edition set of hand painted wrapped whole cut shoes. “Though the design is very simple, the ‘Wrapped Whole cut’ shoe by Lodger of London is extremely complex to make. Fashioned from a single piece of flawless leather, the seam of the shoe is placed asymmetrically on one side as opposed to being more traditionally found at the back. This requires that the leather be stretched in three directions in order to get it to fit around the toe and heel without any additional seams. Customers can choose to have their own pair of these unique shoes hand painted in one of three colours: a rich Oxblood, warm Grey or Azure Blue.”

Viberg Boots for Japan

Selectism - Viberg Boots for Japan

Canada’s Viberg Boots moves its way into a slightly more “fashion forward” category with the help of the Japan market. A new collection, which looks to be exclusive to Superdenim (outside of Japan) at this time, employs Japanese based designers to “reappropriated the Viberg aesthetic yet stick to the functional principles of the brand.” The collection is still made in Canada and will continue to work all 218 steps in the Viberg Boot building process.

Two models get the work through and are available now as part of a two day special pre-order. “For this limited capsule collection, we customized two different signature Timberland styles. Thorocraft Shelton and Hudson Shoes

Selectism - Thorocraft Shelton and Hudson Shoes

Following up on our earlier post on Thorocraft, we preview two new models coming this Spring 2010. The Shelton and Hudson may be shoes but we prefer to call them boots. Their low sole allows them to be worn more properly while retaining that casual feel. The suede on the Hudons with it’s white stitching is a nice contrast, but for the rainier days, the Shelton is the standout.
