If you’ve not noticed, we’ve started to fall for the outerwear from the darkside, you know the Rick Owens, Damir Doma and in this case, Forme D’Expression side. It’s not exactly seasonally appropriate to be wearing a black coat, but since when have we let seasonal appropriaticity (to use a Don King-ism) get in the way of a nice coat? (Arknets)

The reason we started these top 5 album picks was to showcase another side to designers. Music is so intrinisically linked with fashion that we felt it only natural we start asking some of our favourite designers about what they’ve been listening to over the last year.

We often make assumptions about what type of music a designer listens to in their downtime and we made the assumption that Koeun Park would spend her time listening to obscure whale songs – instead she apologised for her ‘terribly commercial’ taste in music, which consisted of Kings Of Leon and Jay-Z amongst others. It’s always nice to be surprised.

We’ve featured Forme D’Expression’s full collection a couple of times here, but now we can get a closer look at one of the pieces from the SS09 collection. As regular readers will know, we have a preference for the worn-in look on accessories and this holdall is as beaten up as they come. Get it from Matches.

Forme D’Expression (aka Forme 3’3204322896) have given us a look at their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. The collection looks to continue the signature look of tailored leather jackets and crumpled pieces and have expanded that aesthetic by introducing artfully worn-in coats and jeans. The collection also includes several wide leg trousers, taking the overall look in another direction. Take a look at the rest of the collection after the jump.

Forme D’Expression (also known as Forme 3’3204322896) is an Italian brand headed by Koeun Park. A former designer for Giorgio Armani Black Line and Donna Karan’s main line, Koeun started  Forme D’Expression around 2005 after growing bored of the “band wagon” system of fashion. Their SS09 collection focuses on items such as crumpled suit jackets, exposed stitching, thin leather jackets and clothes that are generally artfully dishevelled.
