Fred Perry-Cycling-01

The second drop from Fred Perry’s foray into cycling gear, this ‘Blank Canvas’ line-up designed for bike riding during the Spring/Summer months. Keeping to the slick 60s style favoured by fans of all things Mod, the expanded collection features 5 zip down funnel neck shirts in pique cotton all with rear pockets. The star of the show has to be the polka dot shirt, sure to encourage double Paul McCartney thumbs up from your fellow commuters.

A nylon cycling jacket designed for comfort during riding, unlined ventilated cycling shoes and a heavy duty polyester messenger bag complete the range, all of which will be available at their London Seven Dial and Manchester Police Street Laurel Wreath stores. Bike fans can take advantage of some special in-store offer action here.

Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Spring/Summer 2012 Looks

Laurel Fred Perry ss12 02 Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Spring/Summer 2012 Looks

If you’re a fan of 6876 we point you in the direction of Fred Perry’s Laurel Wreath, who have taken the brand’s founder/designer Kenneth MacKenzie as their very own. A smart move following their early collaborative efforts. What this means for Laurel Wreath is a collection full of deceptively simple pieces; modern, clean lines with detail used sparingly but to great effect. MacKenzie is a fan of a spot-on silhouette so expect everything to be cut with precision. He notes, “My guiding design principal is to develop an evolving wardrobe reinterpreting classic menswear, epitomised by Fred Perry, by partnering sharp, attitudinal design with proven traditional materials and construction” For some more Fred Perry Spring/Summer 2012 business, take a look at the Authentic collection over here.

Fred Perry SS12 01 Fred Perry Authentic Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

Fred Perry Authentic Spring/Summer 2012 brings together pieces designed to be worn on or off the field. The collection is divided into three parts, each with specific looks. 60s casual with that smart edge in the form of harringtons and chinos. Relaxed sweats and cotton gingham shorts of the ‘lo-tech’ variety, as well as classic, more formal cuts from the 50s through to 70s. A certain amount of crossover with each story, these are the kind of easy to wear, classic British goods we’ve come to expect from the label. More at Fred Perry.

6876 for Fred Perry Blank Canvas Car Coat

28 November 2011, 20.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

Selectism - 6876-fred-perry-car-coat-01

We spoke about this collab briefly in our feature on Kenneth MacKenzie last week and here’s the results. The 6876/Fred Perry collab was the result of some mining through the archives of 6876, bringing back some of their greatest hits, so to speak, alongside some original creations. One from the archives, this car coat has all those little things we appreciate – handwarmer pockets with button tab closure, concealed superlampo zip placket – you know, that kind of thing. End has it.
