Alpha Sidibe is the studio manager at Christian Louboutin, hence the wide selection of spiked shoes. He’s also managed to accrue a lot of cool stuff which you can have a look at in this tour from Freunde Von Freunden. His Paris apartment, tucked away in Le Marais, is a bit of a change from some of the more stark living spaces we’ve previously featured. This isn’t one of those sprawling loft spaces filled with light, they’re great and all but it’s nice to see some proper apartment living. Head to FvF for an interview and more images.

British born photographer Magnus Reed made the move to Berlin shortly after the wall came down and has never left. He’s responsible for some iconic images of the likes of Pamela Anderson, Anna Nicole Smith and Sharon Stone as well as campaigns for Paul Smith, H&M, Hackett and Gant. His apartment, which he shares with his daughter, is one of those huge spaces that remind you of the trampoline scene in big. That’s a compliment. See more at Freunde Von Freunden.

Berlin’s FvF headed into SOHO for a visit with Colin Tunstall of Saturday’s Surf NYC. Like The Selby, the viewpoint is from the perspective of the Tunstall’s surrounds: images show his artwork, studio and more. The first time I drove by the old air raid shelter in Berlin’s mitte district, I asked David Fischer what the hell it was. He then told me about Mr. Christian Boros, the ad exec and art collector in the city, who purchased the bunker after the fall of The Wall. The massive bunker is now his own private art museum, semi open by appointment. I’ve never been so lucky as to get an inside visit. This video from the great FvF takes care of for us. Possibly their best presentation yet.

Michael Halsband has been shooting since the 70s. Growing up in NYC meant he was never short of subject matter. “There was Central Park and the Bandshell, West Side, the Riverside Park scene and all the kids that hung out there… Once you tapped into anyone who was connected to that scene you were drawn into it very naturally”.

He went on to work at Rolling Stone Records where small projects turned into shooting Mick on the ‘81 “Tattoo You” tour and Keith Richards for Rolling Stone Magazine. Some ostentatious interior situations via Freunde Von Freunden. This time we’re invited into the home of creative director Marc Atlan. Yet another vague job title that has us torn between ‘what’s that all about?’ and ‘how do I go about getting me one of those?’. Originally hailing from France, Marc runs his own studio in L.A, his current hometown “with a focus on Beauty, Fashion, Luxury and Culture.” Previous clients have included YSL, Comme des Garcons and Margiela, safe to say Mr Atlan is doing ok.
