Holland’s Vandorst is a new bag line produced in one of the last remaining Dutch leatherworks factories. With six bags and six accessories, Vandorst is keeping it simple as they work to produce the very best men’s leather bag they can. The line takes influence from the founder’s grandparents who in the 20’s and 30’s traveled Europe by motorbike; possibly the best way to see the sights.

They showcased their first collection during the Europe men’s markets this month. No word on delivery stateside, but for now, we wish them well as the bags look great.

ts(s) is one of the more accessible Japanese lines on the market. They distribute throughout Europe as well as in North America. For those new to the line, try to get your hands on some of the garments as they come down to touch and fit (don’t they all). Wools work well throughout the collection including on their contrasting wingtip boots, which will work for many. The yarn work in the wool jackets are choice as well.

Here’s a look at the work of Italian designer, Franco Verzi. His outwear collection, L’eskimo offers a premium set of styles and cuts that deliver that modern Italo-steez through anoraks, overcoats, and some new ideas around quilted vests that take no shape from the past. Worth a dig through in the gallery… you’ll find their current collection through many of our retail partners.

Trolling over on Por Vocacao, we discover images of footwear coming from the Margiela line for Autumn Winter 2012. Some interesting specimens in the collection including a series of all-rubber shoes (desert boot and all) which we will need to hold in hand to experience. The snakeskins look proper and we’re excited to see the “return” of the splatter paints. Much more in our gallery.

A few picks from Christophe Lemaire’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The Hermès designer continues his own line, one for anyone who likes to keep their wardrobe monochrome friendly. Volume is the key here, as is the precise layering – sleek and exaggerated in places.”In the lead role are pleated, gaucho inspired pants in cotton canvas which sharpen up warm military-inspired pieces (rigorous duffle and wool melton), supple tweed jackets and alpaca knits”

Canadian label Klaxon Howl always go to lengths to create a bit of a story with their lookbooks. Autumn Winter 2012 sees men of ye olde worldy days gathering around the fire to swap stories and show off some unsurprisingly sharp garms. Strong on the outerwear as ever, add to that heavyweight knitwear and a couple of excellent vests, Matt Barnes’ photography continues to give the brand a unique feel.

It’s difficult not to use the word classic when it comes to Margaret Howell but with yet another spot on collection paying little attention to prevailing trends, it seems the most apt description. If you like single breasted trench coats, relaxed knitwear, simple shirting and various other staples in muted tones then you’ll do well to keep an eye on Margaret Howell season after season.

Ovadia & Sons shares a quick preview from their Autumn Winter 2012 offering. The collection is a safe, menswear affair with casual styles including brown wool suit, a great bomber with brown fur hits, and stylings made for the every man. Worth a look. We’ll share more from Ovadia & Sons as we get it.

We move deeper into the void with the great Thom Browne. His mainline Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, is an incredible jock-freak takeover that I honestly love. If you plan on going conceptual, go fucking hard, but retain that touch of the wearable, which is evident when you look beyond those nails and broad shoulders. As usual, we applaud the weird. As one person in our office said, “It reminds us of the guy who always plays the creepy guy.”
