Men.style gives a preview of the 60th anniversary collection from GANT. “Trawling the archives for inspiration is a common tactic for design teams these days, but Gant has got a richer history than most. The company marks its 60th birthday this year and is celebrating with six limited-edition shirts inspired by its lengthy back catalog. They’re contemporary updates on vintage designs rather than slavish re-creations, but some do tend more in one direction than the other.”

Aside from showcasing their classic American line, Gant’s footwear program was also represented at Project. A new venture for the company, the shoes build from on the brands tradition in an all American look, while pushing slimmer silhouettes. The Clipper, based on a boat shoe, and its loafer cousin the Canal caught our fancy.

Gant has teamed up with Scott Schuman,  The Sartorialist, to produce a ‘man on the street’ look-book of fashionable New Yorkers. The ten well participants each chose pieces from the autumn Gant collection to compliment their personal style, all shot by Schuman in the street. The results are as good as expected with the talent involved. (via ACL)

BEAMS+ (Japan) continues their focus on “American Life” products with a limited edition offering with GANT. GANT has been a global menswear brand since the turn of the 20th century. Famous for the dress shirts, GANT today offers a full line catering to everything from womens wear to home to time.

The GANT Limted Edition Collection for BEAMS+ further solidifies their brand as a strong player in menswear. Button downs, polos, and hoodies fill the BEAMS+ offering.
