Video | Gilded Age Autumn/Winter 2011

“Fashion photographer Graham Lott teamed up with the Creative Agency Boyce & Brown to create a short cinematic video showcasing the Gilded Age Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Inspired by patriot Joseph Lloyd’s paranoid flight from Long Island after the British seized it, the project brings the area’s past into its present, fusing the land’s history with current-day suburbia.”

Gilded Age’s autumn/winter 2011 presentation at New York Fashion Week featured looks for both men and women. As much as we like the gals, focus here is on menswear. A full view of the presentation after the jump.

Selectism - Gilded Age Autumn 2010 Shirts

Another quick look from Bread & Butter Berlin. Gilded Age racked up some of their new shirts for view. While we are not allowed to show details on them, we do offer a rack view of what you can expect from the line. “Handcrafted line inspired by the craftsmanship of the Gilded Age, using organic materials, natural dyes and artisanal fabrics, reminiscent of an era that predates mass production…”

One more look at the Gilded Age Autumn 2010 Shirts after the click.

Bread & Butter | Gilded Age Spring/Summer 2010 Preview

gilded age spring 2010 preview 01 Bread & Butter | Gilded Age Spring/Summer 2010 Preview

We’re not done with Bread & Butter previews yet. Gilded Age showed at the most impressive room in the whole show, which had Red Wing, Filson, Nigel Cabourn and G.A all packed into a tight space. It was almost enough to make you forget about the soul-destroyingly huge Ed Hardy stand.

Gilded Age’s SS10 collections looks to be a continuation of what they’ve become known for, featuring acres of check shirts, lightweight knitwear and a hooded top I’d actually consider wearing. Take a look at the collection after the leap.

Gilded Age for Uniqlo Now Available

gilded age for uniqlo 01 Gilded Age for Uniqlo Now Available

Uniqlo launch their Gilded Age collaboration in stores today, continuing the low key approach the company have taken. We were big fans of the Opening Ceremony collection, although the sizing meant that it was neccessary to size up one – meaning that if you were a large you were out of luck. This time they’ve included an XL in the sizing, so if the sizing problem persists at least you can just apply the general maxim of go one size down.

Highlights of the collection are the washed cotton blazer (pictured above) which is available in sand, cream and navy blue. Other pieces include pinstripe oxfords, chinos, shorts, bomber jackets and henley neck t-shirts.

Take a look after the jump for pictures of the collection.

Gilded Age Cashmere Bear Cardigan

gilded age cashmere brown bear cardigan Gilded Age Cashmere Bear Cardigan

I could have used this cashmere cardigan from Gilded Age this week in Rangely, Maine. It was close to -20F at the top of the mountain – cold enough to binge on bourbon with the locals to stay warm. Gilded Age’s emblematic bear cardigan would not have only kept me warm but provided me with wears that locals would have no problem understanding. Cashmere, bears, and booze. What else would we need? Available now from Gravitypope.

Gilded Age Distressed Shirt

gilded age shirt Gilded Age Distressed Shirt

We’re gonna have to ask you to ignore the styling on this one. Despite the fact that we link to Matches pretty often, it’s actually aimed at well-off middle aged men, as the styling on this picture shows. That aside, this Gilded Age shirt is perfect for any lovers of rolling up their sleeves with its inside tartan pattern allows you to switch up your look slightly without making an effort. Get it from Matches.
