Timothy Everest Cashmere Lined Gloves

20 December 2011, 15.00 | Posted in Accessories, Fashion | No comments »

timothyeverest gloves01 Timothy Everest Cashmere Lined Gloves

We’ve featured a few of those ‘off down the woods to collect logs and hang with deer’ gloves. The rough and tough variety that allow you to pretend to be hunter or competitive logger. Now we turn to something a little more refined.

Tailor Timothy Everest does a nice line in accessories, these gloves are our pick of the bunch. Hand made, hand stitched in England. Brown leather is trimmed with a bright yellow but behold the lining; purple Scottish cashmere no less. Too fancy for communing with wildlife.

We’re all about multiple gloves this season. No, not wearing gloves on top of one another, we mean having a fair few options. After all, one pair can’t go with everything you wear. And by no means is this a way to increase consumerism, we’d never do such a thing. We just believe in multiple glove choices. You could even mix and match, although there is a 99.999% chance that you’ll look douchey. (Oi Polloi)

Oliver Spencer adds a personal touch to his accessories for Autumn Winter 2011 with these Oli Gloves. The mitten/fingerless option has become a bit of a must if you hope to make any use of your smartphone while out and about this winter. Sure, you could just take your gloves off, but if you can keep at least 50% of your hand warm while you send that picture of a dog in a hat then why not. Moss green wool, with peanut suede palms for added grip, find them flipped or unflipped over at Oliver Spencer.

And before anyone gets smart, no we’re not rushing the seasons. It’s actually cold enough (where we are at least) to start thinking about gloves. We know there’s all sorts of cool guy brands doing gloves, but it’s best to stick to those who really know what they’re doing. And, having made gloves for royalty, Dents really know what they’re doing. (Dents)

Chester Deerskin Gloves

23 September 2011, 15.00 | Posted in Accessories | No comments »

Chester Deerskin Gloves

Chester Gloves, a family run business based in Dorset, have been keeping fingers warm and protected since 1937 so we guess they know a thing or two about creating the ideal pair of gloves. These are constructed from deerskin all the way from North America and lined with a soft fleece to keep things cosy in harsh weather. The pop stud strap transforms them from work gloves to something a little smarter and the rather fetching shade of yellow will mean you might be that touch more visible whilst riding your bike or just taking a midnight stroll. selectism - Mark McNairy iGlove

You’ll likely be working your fingers to the bone after this discovery – Mark McNairy’s online shopping experience is now up and running. The iGlove is typical of the designers wry wit, which as we all know hinges (garment wise) on cheekily playing with classic wardrobe staples. Shoes, of course, complement the gloves in stores stock and there is also a healthy selection of shirts, ties, and underpants.

Those “Paradise” sweats are on too.

A split cotton/cashmere blend and the elongated cuff make these fingerless gloves from OAK worth the money. The cuff flows back into the sleeve to ensure no cold air gets in. A great gift.
