San Francisco’s Golden Bear works two leather numbers for the Engineered Garments collection. The Bedford jacket comes in goat suede or “elite” cowhide. Unionmade’s Seals Stadium jacket, manufactured by SF locals Golden Bear, draws its name from the minor league baseball team that played at 16th Street and Portrero Avenue from 1931 through 1959. The San Francisco Seals, of the Pacific Coast League, are inspiration for the garment, which features a traditional snap button closure and 100% cotton shell. A solid choice for evenings at the ballpark, or for just kicking about when the evening temperatures dip.

Another addition to their recent collaborations, Unionmade works over varsity vest with Golden Bear. The garment is made of the same material as the jacket but includes “cowhide trim at the shoulders, slash pockets and at the hanger loop.” This jacket has a snap front closure that is made with antique brass. The piece is offered in navy and carmel. Made in the U.S.A.

The coat is manufactured in San Francisco and is made of 80% wool and 20% nylon. The double breasted coat comes with leather bound pockets and a slimmer fit. San Francisco based Golden Bear collaborated with the guys at Unionmade to create their take on a set of cotton varsity jackets. All jackets are “made in San Francisco’s Potrero district, the jackets feature timeless styling with a contemporary twist featuring tartan plaid lining and leather pocket details.” This is the second run of the collaboration between the two companies.
