Goyard is one of those luxury brands that starts land wars amongst even the “common people.” Personally, I think there is no doubting the importance of this brand. Now, the white gloves have been pulled out for all out stop book on the history of the brand and the family behind it. The book itself, looks as lush as their bags and wallets. As the New York Times reports, “The book includes the history of the Goyard family — the achievements during the Paris Expo Universelle in 1900 and the creation of the noble facade of the Paris store. But it is more generally about the art of travel and its blossoming in the 20th century from early trains to grand hotels.”

Goyard branches out its highly sought after luxury line of goods to the UK via a new store opening this Summer in London. The London store will now sit prominently against a map of luxury cities including Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beverly Hills, and others. The Goyard brand is considered the icon in luxury and to many, as it’s presence has remained niche and highly elusive.

If there is one thing that one should not doubt, than it is the expertise of Goyard with premium leathers. Their shoeshine kit dos not only look beautiful, it also does its job. Visionaire Magazine is offering up a special packaging for their 50th issue: a Goyard trunk loaded to the gills with those first 50 Visionaire issues OR a Goyard trunk loaded to the gills with 10 sets of those 50 issues! Price? Massive! 50k$US or 150k$US depending if you want read copies or want to hoard copies. WSJ’s Eva Ramirez offers some thoughts on the pricepoints. "The lofty price tag for a collection of "magazines" is the result of multiple factors, including Visionaire’s increasing collectability, as well as trends in the luxury goods market, which continues to hit ever-higher price points… Last December, the entire run, from 1–53, was purchased anonymously for $65,000."

Clearly Visionaire Magazine and Goyard up the ante for all future collaborations to come. This is one hell of a set.

For the holiday season this year Barneys New York is celebrating in green. For the occasion they asked several designers to either donate for charity or to create eco-inspired one-offs.

French luxury leather goods brand Goyard came out with a remix of their most popular bag. It comes in green, and features the recycling logo in gold. Not only the color hints at the theme, the bag is actually made out of recyclable canvas, unlike their regular collection. The bag goes for 1065 USD.
