GQ steps up their web game with the launch of their new GQ.com property today. Te standout feature at the moment would of course be the January Jones photoshoot by Terry Richardson for the latest cover of the print GQ. #woah. Congrats to GQ for a fine launch and site.

A nice editorial from GQ Russia featuring Eddie Klint and photographed by Yu-Tsai. The editorial brings a soft feel to “Easter” fashions that will work well throughout the season. Pink blazers are set against grey trousers and short pants. The whole shoot makes me wish I could escape this loft and head to the garden to enjoy the sun and a Bento box. (coutequecoute)

The UK iteration of GQ recently underwent a redesign and they’ve included a number of editorials to their fashion section, including a feature on American sportswear and cobalt blue. By far their best though is this weekend bag feature, showing six of the best holdalls from people like Norton & Sons, Mulberry and Bric’s. Take a look at the full article here.

GQ has announced the finalist for “Best New Menswear Designers in America” in conjunction with the CFDA. The six finalist selected by GQ are Benjamin Bixby, Robert Geller, Rogues Gallery, Save Khaki, Shipley & Halmoss, and Yigal Azrouël. All the finalist are features in the February 2009 issue of GQ. “A panel of industry experts, including GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson, American menswear designer Thom Browne, and CFDA executive director Steven Kolb, will determine the winner.”

GQ has named Thom Browne “Designer of the Year” in their December 2008 issue. As Alex Pappademas writes, “Thom Browne’s world: Most of us don’t live in it, but he’s convinced we’d be better off if we did. We’d all have less stuff, for one thing. Every day, we’d leave bright, spotless, almost comically underfurnished homes and go to work in bright, spotless, almost comically underfurnished places of business. Browne’s Manhattan showroom is like that. You could drive a parade float through the space between the door and the table where he’s sitting now, talking to some people about the tennis-club-inspired set he wants to build for his next runway show…”

"The handy guide from GQ basically breaks down everything you need to know to wear a hat without looking like you just got off a flight from LAX. Much respect to GQ for making the guide without including pictures of Justin Timberlake or Brad Pitt."
