Here’s  look inside the new Gucci Museum exhibition in the heart of Florence’s Piazza Signoria. The permanent exhibition spans three floors with themes ranging from travel to florals; complemented by a gift shop, bookstore and more. The second floor of the exhibition looks to be most interesting in terms of brand. There you will find logos and icon work from the Gucci house.

Gucci began back in 1921, some 90 years ago. Their “1921 Collection” is a celebration of their legacy as a luxury brand. Fans of  Gucci will discover a new logo for the collection that includes travel bags, a suede jacket and loafers.” A well crafted collection of accessories for men and women. (o)

Running from June 25 to July 13, 2011 at the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto, an exhibition of archival Gucci bags celebrates cross cultural exchange and the importance of traditional craftsmanship. This unique exhibition also celebrates 90 years of Gucci, the Florence-based brand excelling in leather goods for 9 decades. In line with the historic nature of the objects show, the host space – the Golden Pavilion – also embodies cultural and artistic traditions.

Exhibitions honoring the Gucci legacy are scheduled in Japan for the remainder of 2011.

On the bizarre off-chance that you haven’t checked ACL lately, he’s just gone to Italy to see how Gucci makes their loafers. As we have a weird fondness/hatred for Gucci loafers – thank you hip-hop lyrics for poisoning our minds – it’s interesting to see how the loafer was made. Tokyo’s Gucci flagship has produced a special charity bracelet for the  Japan relief effort. The adjustable sized bracelet goes on sale April 23 with all proceeds benefiting the Red Cross. (h)

Acquire taps into the Gucci goods. Some “gult” for you guys. “Gucci is introducing a men’s version of their Guilty scent with notes of citrus, lavender, and patchouli and sandalwood.
