Hamilton x Yoshida Watch

Hamilton delivers a new 38mm sized khaki field watch. Yoshida (you know, Porter) works a special strap bracelet for he watch in celebration of 77 years of the Yoshida Kaban dynasty. Undoubtedly  a clean look, the watch pulls elements from British Royal Airforce to make it all their own. Japan only, of course.

Hamilton 1883 Shirts for Autumn/Winter 2011

Hamilton 1883 for Autumn 2011 offers a great collection of looks for all. Argyle comes into play as does more takes on plaids. The spilled ink splatter shirt, shown above left, is a strong favorite on this end. The cuts on Hamilton are more fitted than the traditional classic American made shirts. The fit is preferred.

Hamilton Khaki Field Watch

Not the first khaki field watch we have looked at, but maybe the most subtle. Hamilton’s Khaki Field Auto is a replica of the watches used by U.S. Military during the Korean War. It features a 40mm case and one of the cleanest looks on the market. Ready to take a beating. (zozo)

Selectism - Hamilton Below Zero "Predator Black" Watch

So the new “Predators” movie will hit U.S. theaters today, July 9th. We can only hope they have done what they could to live up to the original  (none of which could live up to the Dark Horse AvP run back in the day).  But on the the placement front, it would seem like the 46mm Hamilton Below Zero model got a special PVD treatment for the movie on at least one variation. Color comes in on the day.

Hamilton 1883 Blue Chambray Short-Sleeve Pullover Shirt

selectism - Hamilton 1883 Blue Chambray Short-Sleeve Pullover Shirt

Yes, we’ve still got a soft spot for chambray. And, yes, we’ve still got a bit of a soft spot for made in the USA goods (and Italian milled fabrics). Houston, TX based Hamilton’s story has been told here before, but we’ve rarely shared a single item. Their blue chambray short-sleeve pullover, from the Hamilton 1883 line, is a winner. The duel breast pockets are the real sell for us.

Selectism - Hamilton for N. Hoolywood Military Watch

A simple classic simple face finished Hamilton “military inspired” watch for Japan’s N. Hoolywood line. This is part of their Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The grey/black finish on this competes nicely against that 50$US Timex that should hit stores in July. If Timex would drop this color-way, they would kill it. (hs)

Selectism - Hamilton 1883 Shirts

Mr. Williams brings us up to speed on a new shirting collection from Hamilton. “Hamilton — America’s oldest family owned shirt maker — today unveiled Hamilton 1883, the Texas concern’s new collection of ready-to-wear men’s wovens. The 1883 range is a casual and comfortable compliment to Hamilton’s custom shirt making operation which has been turning out high quality American made shirts in Houston for over 125 years. While the custom route is always a wonderful journey, the styling and details in the 1883 line are a welcome new addition to the company’s line-up.”

Hollister Hovey has quick brief on Hamilton, “America’s Oldest Shirt Makers” and their wide customer base. “Hamilton customers come in all forms, they said.  Simon Doonan from Barneys wears nothing else. Big Texas ranchers often order theirs Western-style. New Yorkers even order black. ‘In Connecticut, it’s all blue and white,’ David said. As expected, the Southerners are more colorful.”
