One of three new Han sunglasses for Seattle’s Blackbird. By the way, they’re great. “Blackbird presents our dark and dapper take on classic American shades. The large, semi-transparent tortoise frames are complimented by thick and sturdy, black temple arms. Perfect for everyone’s spring look.” Priced well at $165 and damn good looking.

The good folks at HAN sent over some exclusive first looks at their apparel for Spring/Summer 2011 which includes a new take on tapered denim and field jackets. “In our jeans range, we have added a rinsed wash 12,5 Oz red listed selvedge Okayama jeans fabric in a new fit called 50’s Zip fly which has a boxy top with a regular thigh and a tapered hem… Our Field Jacket is a fitted military classic. This style has been indigo over dyed and is made of cotton and flax.” Leather seems to be in order for Spring as well. HAN’s “heavy-washed-down” sheep’s leather Moped jacket is a symbolic gesture to Danish culture.

SOTO carries sweatpants from Han. They may not be as detailed as those Band of Outsiders sweats from yesterday but still quality all around. “Han’s heavy and thick 50’s chino sweatpants look good either at home, the gym or even combined with a nice button down shirt. They fit loose on the top and fit slim around the ankle. Great pants for the upcoming cold days, weeks, months.”

You know what? We’re just gonna come right out and say it: we want to cheat with our denim. We know wearing them in yourself is the ‘right’ thing to do but it takes ages. And, like Jay-Z, we’re not patient and we hate waiting. These Han jeans are a great cheating tool for anyone who wants to skip a couple of style steps. (C Store)

While we’re often seen as the sharper brother to High Snob, we like to get comfy too. We mean, there’s only so much super tough denim a man can take before he just wants to break out the sweat pants. And my friends, this is one of those days. Sweatpants have are still very much an emerging trend – mainly because men don’t really know how to wear them without looking like they’re going to the gym. Personally, we’d wear these with an oxford and some trainers or boat shoes as anything else can leave you looking a little too fashion victim for our tastes. (Norse)

Don’t be fooled by the timing of this post – we’re not saying you should wear these right now – you don’t wanna be one of those people who wear sunglasses the second the sun shows up. This is more of a ‘heads up, you could be rocking these come summer’ kind of post. These are a little harder to pull off than, say, a pair of aviators, but at least you won’t be wearing the same shades as everyone else come summer. (Oi Polloi)

Copenhagen’s Han Eyewear continues to make waves in the eyewear world. With their US domestic distribution still up in the air, those in Europe – specifically the UK, Germany, and Italy – can sit back and enjoy a level of exclusivity in frame wear. But trust me, when they hit my shores, things will really begin jump off.

For Spring/Summer 2009, Han is introducing two new frames – the Grad Danois and Harry. Grand Danois comes in Mahogany while Harry is produced in Tortoise only. Two limited edition colorways are also being produced for Grand Danois and their classic models, Timeless and Wolfgang. Look for those in special editions of forest green and grey in a matte finish.

We spoke on Han of Denmark back in September, but from what we can gather, they’re about to get a major push. The Timeless sunglasses which we spoke on drew comments and emails to Selectism asking for purchase info. To those, we again refer you to their retailer list on their website. In the meantime, check their aviator inspired Avantguard sunglasses and eyeglasses. So classic that our staff is now checking that retailers list as well. new models coming soon.
