Missoni makes the average Havaianas sandal into something of a show pieces. These sandals and espadrilles, part of the Missoni Spring 2011 collection, offer the vibrant colors you’d expect from the brand against two casual footwear looks. We expect them to be worn everywhere. They come with solid carry pouches as well.

More Havaianas love… they work with Aussie’s Bassike. No complaining on these. They are as to the point as it gets. They were unveiled at Basslike’s Rosemount Australian Fashion Week show for S/S 2010 (southern hemisphere).  At this time, it looks like they are available only in Australia. Oh, the hate may flow on this one. The back and forth amongst the crop of men’s bloggers and Twitter posters has tried to enforced a defined profile of where and when you can wear flip-flops. We tend to agree with most of their opinions on their use (keep them off concrete is the jist). A bunch of the heavy hitters in boutique menswear are part of this Havaianas benefit project for Greenpeace. Havaianas reworks their Brasilian sandal using Pinel & Pinel crocodile skin materials for the strapping on the sandal. 24 units are being produced and sold exclusively through DSM, Corso Como, and Colette.

The Palm Springs Ace Hotel and Swim Club worked with sandal maker Havaianas on a set of flip-flops which hotel guests will find as part of their mini-bar offering. The sandals will run 22$US – a fair price for some sand kickers. You’ll also find them online at Havaianas US shop.
