Haversack Chambray Shirt

22 October 2009, 19.00 | Posted in Fashion | 3 comments »

selectism - haversack-chambray-shirt-01

Still can’t get enough chambray? here’s another shirt you can add to the team. The most obvious difference between this and most chambray shirts is the fact that it’s a pullover version, which gives it a nice, if not earth shaking, twist. The second one is the club collar (although Our Legacy got there first). The pockets are a little western, but not overbearingly so. After the Japan-fest today, you’ll be glad to know you won’t need a proxy for this one. (Coggles)

Haversack Shawl Collar Cardigan

selectism - haversack-cardigan-01

Before anyone starts, we know we’ve been featuring a shedload of shawl collar cardigans lately. We’ll cut back from now on – we’ll only post them once a week, every week without fail. At least we’re not featuring one label over and over again eh?

As far as specifics go, this cardi is the usual high quality you’d expect from the Japanese brand – fine detailing, coroza nut buttons, the whole shebang. And more importantly, that shade of green would work very well with tan cords (like these Uniqlo ones). (Oki-Ni)

Detailed shots are after that leap.

Haversack Overcoat

haversack mac Haversack Overcoat

We’ve made this point several times but just to be clear we’ll make it again – we don’t approve of the styling on Matches. Another sale piece today and this one is a ridiculous saving. Down to £155 (from £525), it’s such a good deal we were tempted to keep it to ourselves. But because we’re good people (and because it’s not available in our size) we’ve decided to share it. Get it from Matches (be quick though).

Haversack Grandad Collar Blazer

haversack blazer 01 Haversack Grandad Collar Blazer

The article makes it two sale pieces already. And it’s only just turned lunchtime (if you’re UK based). Despite all appearances, we’re actually a bunch of tightwads. While we do recommend you buy some pieces from your local boutique during normal season, we also understand that you’ve got funds to look after and you can’t spend all of it on clothes. So that’s why this Haversack blazer is such a good deal. Given that it’s a pretty heavy wool we’d probably buy this as a keeper for autumn. It’s still not H&M cheap, but it’s an amazing deal for the quality of product. Get it from Oki-Ni.

Haversack Wool Blazer

haversack wool blazer Haversack Wool Blazer

The college professor look is one that’s gaining ground due to the amount of clear glasses, bow ties and wool blazers available lately. This Haversack blazer would be a perfect finishing touch to an academia look, or just a smart alternative for days when you can’t be bothered with pea coats or trenches. The silver buttons and slim cut give it a modernity and stop you from looking like you’ve stolen your outfit from your college professors wardrobe. Get it from Matches.

Haversack Jumper

haversack jumper Haversack Jumper
If it’s getting real cold where you live, it might be time to start some heavy duty layering. Slim knits just aren’t good enough to keep the cold out nowadays, so chunky knitwear that look like they could substitute for jackets are the only way to go. This haversack jumper is chunky enough to wear as a jacket in autumn or early spring, whilst still being light enough to wear as a jumper underneath a coat when it’s real cold outside. Get it from Oki-Ni.
