Stevenson Overall Company venture into Henley territory with this one. A nice in between item for those wavering from tee to sweatshirt, the waffle knit really does offer extra warmth and looks rather smart in that ‘cowboy undergarment’ kind of way. Anachronorm give us this superb indigo jersey henley, a shade of blue that just instantly makes us happy. The off centre buttons are a nice touch and never ones to scrimp on detail they’ve lined the neck with chambray fabric, thrown in some perfectly placed contrast stitching across the shirt and added button cuffs for a smarter feel. Mr Freedom like to keep things real. Not happy with just ‘dyeing things blue’, they’re now in possession of their very own Indigo vat. Now able to achieve varying levels of colouration, over dying and all manner of interesting and irregular results, their first guinea pig are these beautiful Swiss military Henley’s. All hand dyed and date stamped, the great thing about this old world process is the amazing fade that will result from wearing and washing.

What’s not to like about this waffle knit thermal. The perfect undergarment if you want to pretend you’re an olden days grandpa telling tall tales around the fire. SDA have gone to great lengths to construct this garment, using “a special 4-needle Flat seam sewing machine that overlays the edges and allows for less seam allowance”.
