Gestalten TV returns with their latest film short with fashion designer, Henrik Vibskov. We go inside his Copenhagen studio and discuss fashion (of course), color and discuss his forthcoming “comprehensive” monograph book. Henrik Vibskov is a 240-page affair that document the work of the 40 year old designer – sometimes misunderstood, but always on the edge of next.

The monograph book is filled with project descriptions and photography that highlights his design work on and off the runway, including museum works as shown at PS1 MOMA, ICA London, Akira Ikeda Gallery, Nagoya; and other locales. Available in late April from Gestalten.

The 100 Days Boutique concept from Henrik Vibskov sets the designer’s collections inside temporary space which moves around the globe every 100 days per season, per city. Berlin’s Mitte is the current home of the traveling collection. Here’s Vibskov’s thoughts on the concept: “Inspired by all the travelling, and by not committing to a long term lease, we are free to experiment with spaces and installations and present the full collection – including showpieces, one-offs and pieces that were edited out of the collection before the show.”

Here’s another look at the Henrik Vibskov scents available now. We first looked at the “Type B” scent, but now here’s a full look at the Vibskov sock lined bottles. Something nice for the eyes and the nose. Choose between Berlin, Copenhagen and Damascus scents. Their launching in the U.S.A. next week in New York City.

What up Berlin. Looks like Vibskov’s giving you the love with his new scent “TYPE B, for Berlin, captures a cold winter’s day in the former Eastern part of the city, where – even today – numerous buildings and houses are heated with coal.” Coal. They describe the scent as starting off spicy with some black pepper and sulphur smells that resemble a burning match. It them moves into woody territory and then “burns” its way to a musky birch and coal tar.  Colette has it.

High concept fashion never scared anyone, right? Henrik Vibskov delivered his Spring/Summer 2012 menswear collection in Paris. The collection features the Danish designers usual mix of ready to wear and high-concept looks. Drop trousers, blazers with defined shoulders, and tie-dyed blazers (show above) sit against an array of colors. While the collection may be difficult for some to grasp entirely, those willing to take some risk will find garments uniquely theirs. (style)

Azita Store shows us their recent Vibskov piece for SS11. The “Microrganism Tee” comes in a grey colorway and has a finely designed graphic of a blown up photo of what seems to be an actual organism. A solid piece for Summer and Spring.

The standard tote bag has become the go-to accessory for men. They’re almost everywhere and being carried by everyone. So why not take the classic tote and mesh it with a “weekender” bag? Henrik Vibskov gives us his translation of the two. It’s offered in a “dark green check” and has brown leather accents for added security. The bag also features “top handles, multiple front pockets and metallic rings to each corner for fastening.”

Vibskov lands on U.S.A. shores with his first flagship in N.Y.C. Located on Broome, the Henrik Vibskov boutique carries a wide selection of the designer’s goods as well as products from osmic Wonder, Stine Goya, Sabrina Dehoff, Uslu Airlines, and many others. “The interior and decoration is made of oxidized golden wood all built by himself and his team. Eye-catching is the installation that gives the space this special texture and for which his apartment in Copenhagen was the inspiration: Henrik describes it as ‘a lot of triangles dropping out of the wall wrapped with white robe and red painted corners.’”
