Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde Watch

hermes retrograde pocket watch 01 Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde Watch

We need more pocket watches in our lives. Acquisition is necessary for formal wear and formal events. Nothing says luxury or timelessness like pulling out your pocket watch and reading off the moment. The Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde covers the bases – a beautifully crafted timepiece made from 18kt gold and set in a 43.5mm casing. The leather strapping is less subtle than a chain and we personally believe, styles more effectively. The moonphase is a bonus. Limited to 24 pieces. We love it. (via tz)

Hermes for smart fortwo Automobile

hermes smart fortwo automobile car front Hermes for smart fortwo Automobile

It’s almost a measure of extremes. When Hermes worked with Buggati on a custom Veyron Fbg not too long ago, they must have been thinking about the gas mileage which the super car burned. In turn they then worked with Citreon on the classic 2CV6, which was also not the most efficient vehicle of its time. To combat both guzzlers, Hermes has now worked over the smart fortwo.

The interior of the smart fortwo is lined in a special canvas called Toile H. Autoblog mentions, “On the inside, the Hermes signature orange is a nice color option, as are nine others including indigo, gold, lime and, uh, pink. High fashion never comes cheap, and the Hermes Smart is no exception coming in at $48,500 in U.S. dollars or 38,000 euros and on sale now in both hardtop and convertible versions.”

Citroen 2CV by Hermes

Selectism - Citroen 2CV by Hermes

The Hermes treatment is back with this special makeup 1989 Citreon 2CV6 Special for the Paris 2008 Auto Show. Autoblog gets it right. "If you saw the Bugatti Veryon by Hermes you know what to expect, with hand-stitched swathes of Hermes trademark gray-beige leather contrasted with white on the front and rear benches. Of course the Hermes treatment is worth as much as the car itself, but anything the 2CV lacks in luxury is more than made up for by character."

The Hermes treatment is more apparent on this automobile than on others. You can be sure that you will impress people with this car in a not too obvious way – that’s how we like it.

The Hermes Bicycle

Selectism - The Hermes Bicycle

This is not a mens bicycle but seeing as any device that gets people onto bicycles is good with us, we felt the need to present the Hermes Bicycle. "Hermès collaborated with dutch bicycle manufacturer Batavus and adorned an Old Dutch with meticulously stitched leather accents on saddle, handle bar grips, as well as the frame’s two main down tubes. The 3-speed bike maintains its old original black finish while the leather accents play a significant role in bumping up Batavus’ original $799 price tag." Bump up indeed as this Hermes bicycle retails for 3500$US.

Selectism - Bugatti Veyron Fbg for Hermes

We’ve been waiting for good photos of the interior of this soon to be legend of a vehicle. Take the world’s street legal car, add in some of touches of Hermes and you have arguably a new top teir in automotive luxury.

As noted in their press release, the Bugatti “Fbg par Hermes” is “the culmination of… extreme attention to aesthetic and technological quality and performance.”

The complexity and detail of this offering is a laundry list long, but for starters, note the door handles which are based on the forms of Hermes’ trunk handles and the dash which is usually adorned in brushed metal is lined entirely in calf skin. Looking on the outside, the air vents around the rims have the characteristic appearance of Hermes saddle-stitching.

Many more views after the jump.
