Our friends at Tres Bien share a good look at the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2012 footwear collection from Hiroshi Tsubouchi. Vibrant takes on the classic shoe silhouette uppers as well as unique mid sole work continue to foster imagination and style from one of Japan’s hotter shoe makers. The wing tips and saddle shoes are catching on with this writer.
While the crepe sole goldrush doesn’t start until the AW10 season, we thought we’d show a pair available from every bloggers favourite destination, Japan. Blue suede shoes are all over the gaff this season but the crepe soles on these make them, as the fashion mags would say, ‘bang on trend’. Like all things Japan, get your proxy on. (Arks)
A very well done collaborative effort from Monocle and Hiroshi Tsubouchi on these slip-ons for the Summer. “This limited-edition slip-on collection is produced in collaboration with one of Japan’s sharpest new footwear designers. They’re available in windowpane calf-skin, caramel calf-skin and Kyoto-print deerskin.” Available for order at Monocle.

Ah yes, another pair of blue shoes for the season. This time they come from Hiroshi Tsubouchi. They look familiar right? Take at that rear detail on this one (above). It sets it apart (just slightly) from the pack of comparable footwear. Arks in Japan has them. Good luck.

Like the chukka, there are countless variations on the classic buck shoe. So many that they tend to get lost in the mix but these Japanese made “Super Bucks” from Hiroshi Tsubouchi may be the standouts with their gum sole and purple upper. Extra nice comfort for ya. (arks)

When we source from the Japanese web players we usually pull out some exclusive Western made goods available from these Eastern outlets. This time we put the spotlight on a pair of super buck shoes from Hiroshi Tsubouchi. They come from his Spring/Summer 2009 collection and feature a prominent blue shade against the classic buck form. We dig and definitely dig their loafers. (museumark)
