On July 19th the new eYe Junya Watanabe Comme Des Garcons flagship store in Hong Kong opened its doors. Situated at 22 Wyndham Street, the store is close to Visvim, Neighborhood/Wtaps, BBC/Ice Cream and the Comme Des Garcons flagship store in Hong Kong.

Yet another Japanese brand that goes to Hong Kong, making it an even more attractive shopping destination. Via I.T.

UK’s venerable TopShop is heading over the pond to te Big Apple – New York City, with sites set on more doors worldwide. According to WWD, "Those same spunky harlequin dresses, tuxedo jackets and sequined HotPants that play well in the U.K. are coming to Broadway in mid-October with a 40,000-square-foot store composed of four selling floors; glossy shelving; futuristic lighting tubes and a DJ booth, both suspended from the ceiling; an "army" of mannequins; a shoe lounge; 32 changing rooms, and a VIP suite for the expected celebrity clientele." The New York store is set to open in the Fall.

IHT reported back in February that TopShop’s boss, Sir Philip Green, promises doors to follow  in  Hong Kong and India very soon.

As part of the “9707″ Project to highlight the achievements and development of Hong Kong’s design industry since re-unification, the Hong Kong Design Centre collaborated with 10 artists and brands to produce 10 “superb” quality items, including this watch by Michael Young.

The UK designer worked with HK’s O.D.M. Watch Company on the “Euclide” named after “Euclidean who developed early theories to understand space and time.”

After the recent opening of the Comme des Garcons, Bape and Visvim flagship stores in Hong Kong, the next Japanese brand is about to enter the line-up. Neighborhood will soon open a flagship store there as well. The store is already under construction, but no word on the opening date so far. Pic via Conope.
