Hublot Red Devil Bang Chronograph

hublot manchester united big bang watch front Hublot Red Devil Bang Chronograph

The Hublot Big Bang Chronograph series is one of those special watch collections that goes beyond words. To see the details in the Big Bang is to understand the complexity and detailing that goes into not only the movement of a timepiece but the housing. Hublot watches, pure and simple, are stunning at first glance.

Logical steps were in place when Hublot took ownership of the timekeeping during the Euro 2008 Cup in Switzerland and Austria. The brand needed to showcase the internal precision of their chronographs with a public event that would put them in stage class like others. Tag Heuer for F1, Omega for Olympics, Rolex for Wimbeldon.

Now Hublot is pushing further into football/soccer as the official timekeepers for England’s Manchester United club. To celebrate the event, they have issues the Hublot Red Devil Bang. Fashioned in the team’s colours, black, red, and yellow, the Red Devil Bang also includes a 45 minute counter half counter. A great feature for the footie fan. Another great unique look from Hublot.

Selectism - LVMH Buying Hublot

WWD is reporting on a major purchase from LVMH. “Luxury giant LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton said early Thursday that it reached an agreement to acquire Switzerland’s Hublot watch group from founder Carlo Crocco and a firm controlled by Jean-Claude Biver, who’s managed the brand since 2004. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but the company noted that the Hublot brand was ‘highly complementary’ to its existing watch portfolio, which includes Tag Heuer, Zenith, Dior Montres and Louis Vuitton.”

Hublot Big Bang Ayrton Senna

RTEmagicC bigbang senna.jpg Hublot Big Bang Ayrton Senna

The Hublot Big Bang is definitely the watch that brought the traditional Swiss brand back to life. About 2 years ago, nobody heard or was interested in the brand, suddenly the Big Bang surfaced and was the new hit. Just in time, when the Audemars Piquet Offshore series was loosing popularity, simply because it was too much out there, Hublot jumped in and took that place with the Big Bang.

After the very popular Luna Rossa limited edition version of the watch, they now present the Ayrton Senna edition. The Hublot Big Bang Aryton Senna All Black Rattrapante sports the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-profit institute founded by Viviane Senna, the sister of the deceased Brazilian racing driver, the Ayrton Senna. The watch is a Chronograph Split-Second with Power Reserve indicator in black with Ayrton Senna’s signature in red and the Brazilian flag in green and yellow on the Split-Second hand which can be used to record an intermediate time by means of the two chronograph seconds hands.

An incredible watch. In case you are interested, you better have good connections to your watch dealer, because these will be hard to find! Oh, and they go for 25′000 USD!
