tender tee 013 Tender Woad Dyed T shirt

Tender, expert indigo dyers, offer this curved hem, short sleeved t-shirt. These loopwheeled cloth shirts are produced in the UK and sent winging off  to the South of France to be dyed using organic Woad, a flowering plant that has been used to dye various shades of blue for hundreds of  years. The cuffed sleeves are a nice touch with this, as is the contrast stitching. Find it at Superdenim.

Tenue de Nîmes Chuck Taylor All Star - Now in High-tops

This summer, Amsterdam’s Tenue de Nimes delivered a well received hand dyed indigo Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low. The sold out of the short run in no time. We heard talk that they would be back again in high-top form and here they are. As Highsnobiety tells us, “50 pairs of the shoes were dyed by the Manabe family from Okoyama – owners of Japanese denim label Momotaro and the Rampuya dyeing factory. The shoes, each of which is unique and hand-numbered, will be available November 26th at Tenue de Nimes.”

Pure Blue Japan Indigo Blazer

Pure Blue Japan has become an in house favorite here at Selectism for a few reasons. 1. Their XX005 cut, though considered slim, is actually straight from the knee to helm, and 2. they think outside of the denim box occasionally to produce some interesting goods. This wool indigo died blazer is one of those ideas which just may well work under proper conditions. We will assume that the wool is pre-washed and will not bleed on your tops. The blazer’s herringbone weave and seam lines give it a distinct finish. Available now from Blue and Green in NYC.
