There is something to be said for always having a bottle cap-opener on hand—whether for opening your own craft or import or for reaching over and making someone else’s evening easier. We have tried keeping them on our keychains but hate the pocket bulge. There was even an ill-advised period many years ago when some of us were wearing church keys on chains around our necks that ended with a fall on a skateboard and one bleeding and bruised sternum.

Of course, these days the one thing just about everyone has on them at all times is an iPhone, so the folks over at Intoxicase had the winning idea of putting a bottle opener on the back of an iPhone case. “Not simply a bottle opener welded onto an iPhone 4/4S case, [this is] the product of hundreds of design and experiment hours … [the opener is] embedded perfectly inside the pure Polycarb case.” Certainly sounds better than a chest wound. Florida’s MAKR delivers a new series of iPhone friendly sleeves in their signature Horween leather as well as some solid color options. Highsnobiety points out a new legacy iPhone 4/4s case that gives your handheld the look of an old school fishtank – the Macintosh 128k computer. Now de Keiser and Les Forges MDK bring us the case and front panel sticker. All we need now is a theme manager for ios (I’m talking native theme manager) but Apple may well want us to forget those old days. Respect on the look.

We’re always on the lookout for an iPhone case, so getting one shot by CUAP is always gonna be up our alley. Sergei Sviatchenko has collaborated with leather goods company Duke on these five cases. Jack White’s Third Man Records delivers this iPhone case molded from old seven-inch records with the help of Griffin. What makes them interesting is that they use actual seven inches from the Third Man catalog as pressed at Nashville’s United Record Pressing. We’re just gonna come right out and say it – we’re being selfish with this post. We just got the new iPhone and we’re looking for beautiful case to wrap around it. We think this fits the bill and being natural leather it’ll just get more handsome as time goes by. Although the iPhone 5 will have come out by then and made our phone look like a rotary phone – something Apple are especially good at. (Norse Store)
