The look is of pure simplicity, but the function and “impact” of the product will protect your iPhone way not imagined with traditional cases. Baseone Labs, makers of shotgun recoil pads, use the same tech inside their  GunnerCase which is no bigger than the phone itself. Packes inside the Gunnercase are “Air Cells” that purported do a helluva job is saving your iPhone from a fall. “When GunnerCase is dropped, the sidewalls are designed to collapse and distribute the force around the case. Florida’s MAKR delivers a new series of iPhone friendly sleeves in their signature Horween leather as well as some solid color options. The navy matte is a nice addition to the collection, along with khaki and charcoal latigo. Like all MAKR goods, each iPhone sleeve is hand sewn, painted and polished with skived and rolled edges. Highsnobiety points out a new legacy iPhone 4/4s case that gives your handheld the look of an old school fishtank – the Macintosh 128k computer. Now de Keiser and Les Forges MDK bring us the case and front panel sticker. All we need now is a theme manager for ios (I’m talking native theme manager) but Apple may well want us to forget those old days. Respect on the look.

We’re always on the lookout for an iPhone case, so getting one shot by CUAP is always gonna be up our alley. Sergei Sviatchenko has collaborated with leather goods company Duke on these five cases. Limited to 25 pieces worldwide, one’s made from calf leather and the other four are from watersnake leather. We like the snake versions ourselves. Jack White’s Third Man Records delivers this iPhone case molded from old seven-inch records with the help of Griffin. What makes them interesting is that they use actual seven inches from the Third Man catalog as pressed at Nashville’s United Record Pressing. We’re just gonna come right out and say it – we’re being selfish with this post. We just got the new iPhone and we’re looking for beautiful case to wrap around it. We think this fits the bill and being natural leather it’ll just get more handsome as time goes by. Although the iPhone 5 will have come out by then and made our phone look like a rotary phone – something Apple are especially good at. (Norse Store)
