The latest installment of the Iron Heart workboot collaboration with Viberg is about ready for delivery. The water buffalo vamp against the 21oz I.H. denim upper panels look better than the initial boot. A bit more subdued from this viewpoint. Find them now at Iron Heart UK. Iron Heart are the kind of brand that make me want to toughen up. Clothing made to last; heavy denim, thick cotton tees, tough flannel shirts…this Chambray workshirt is no exception. It’s good to see salt and pepper fabric make an appearance, commonly used in early American and European workwear, it continues to look as smart as ever. 10z Selvedge chambray, Cat’s eye buttons and chain stitch run-off, an ideal winter layer.

A tough as nails work shirt from Japan’s Iron Heart collection. Sure to be stiff as hell, you’ll be working your way into this garment for some time, but trust us, it is well worth the battle. It is indeed a denim shirt. Self Edge has them. I want.

Canada’s Viberg works a special edition boot for Japan’s Iron Heart company. One of my favorite rugged real street/moto brands from Japan, Iron Heart gives it the full treatment on this Scout boot that comes wrapped with a 21oz and a buffalo leather wrapped vamp. Nicely done. Tokyo based denim brand, Iron Heart, releases their newest design in collaboration with Self Edge. The well–known denim store, Self Edge from San Francisco, California delivers nothing but the best when it comes to japanese premium denim. “We took their 21oz indigo selvedge denim and lined the entire jean with a heavy weight triple brushed black/gray flannel, but we didn’t stop there. The jean is completely coated in paraffin for repelling water.” The Ironheart “634sX” jean is an amazing example of construction and design the pant is dedicated to all those that desire a jean for the most critical weather conditions. This piece is limited and you can only get it Selfedge.

Iron Heart kicks out some short sleeve shirts; landing in the U.S. just in time for the end of summer – for some. Their over-dyed work shirt (also available in long sleeve)  is processed in a manner that gives it a deep rich color. The shirt is cotton selvedge chambray and will last for a very long time. Iron Heart goods are built to take on the roughest of “riders.” Selfedge has them.

No one does shirting like Japan’s Iron Heart. They’re built to protect those on motorcycles but they’ll work for your day to day as well. Now, I would usually shy away from Iron Heart in the Summer due to their terrifically thick and proper builds but we’re told these shirts are made especially for the season. “All three breath well and are in a very nice fabric with colors perfect for summer wear.” Three colors to choose from. I know I tend to gush over Japan’s Iron Heart brand but how can you not. When a company is ultra focused on making the most durable motorcycle gear in the world while remaining proper for those non moto riders. 22oz denim is a about as durable as it gets. Self Edge in the US has it.

It’s pretty clear we’re fans of the Iron Heart company. They produce some of the toughest denim on Earth as well as some of the heaviest. Self Edge gets themselves dirty with some new collaborative denim in black. Yes, it does come in at a whopping 21oz. “We’re very excited about the black version of this jean, the SEXIH07BK. This version of the SEXIH07 jean has been overdyed black with a fugitive pigment dye which is an unstable and un-permanent dye that fades to later show the indigo denim underneath. Essentially this is a denim that begins black and fades to indigo in high friction areas, or what the Japanese call the ‘atari’ fade. This particular model is what we feel the most original and exciting fabric we’ve ever put into a jean.” Available December 5th.

These are true structures of warmth. Iron Heart drops a double pack of 60/40 down vests on the market.  It’s the first time they have released a product of this nature after coming through with flying colors on their ultra heavy thick flannels (which I happened to pick up in here in Tokyo as well). The down vest comes in navy and khaki and includes interior phone pockets. Its sure to be built “Iron Heart” tough which means indestructible to this writer. Available from SESF/NY.
