A clear highlight from day one of Aspen Fashion Week was the day closing presentation from the ISAORA line – who brought a certain rogue edge to the day’s events. Isaora’s presentation featured ski mask cloaked models who rotated in time precision across multiple platforms facing away from the audience – making it just slightly difficult to gauge the front views on the looks. Clearly, this was the intention. Herringbone and camouflage fitted trousers were ever present alongside their expected technical jackets made for both the mountain slopes and street.

I know this: if we show too many of the details from the forthcoming Isaora Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, I will lose my head. For now, I share select looks to give you an idea of where color and texture is heading for the technical fashion line; much of it, we believe, will project its way into the high end tech market that has yet to hit full throttle Stateside. Many have been waiting on this one. The fourth installment of New York City’s “Pop Up Flea” returns tomorrow, December 2 through the weekend.  More than 30 brands and vintage dealers  are taking part in this year’s installment. It is a true one stop shopping experience for men’s gift buying.

Months after the tsunami disaster in Japan, the clean-up and relief effort is still on-going. Help is still needed in the region and it continues to rebuild and try to save the area from further human and environmental consequences. Isaora does its part with help of Porter through the release of their Poirer Backpack. Designed by Camille Poirier in 1882, the pack is considered the model for all modern day backpacks. Originally used by the outdoorsmen and women, the Poirier design has been updated for modern times. You’ll find additions such as the iPod pouch and felt padding there to keep your electronics safe. Proceeds from the sales of the Porter for Isaora backpack benefit the Japanese Red Cross.

Isoara remains active sport inspired with their new blazer and trouser set for Autumn 2011. The “riding” blazer and pants look beautifully tailored an off and on the mountain look – and we mean really on the mountain. The construction features taped seams and tech fabric allow for true riding on the mountain. Hell, if all the kids on bicycles can get tailored riding gear, so should riders and skiers.
