CAMO (Italy) Autumn/Winter 2012 - Full Looks

Slightly early, we know, for a full look, but Italy’s CAMO could not resist sharing. As we mentioned from Pitti, the new CAMO collection works around the “Casino” theme based around those all important chips.

CAMO’s “Casino Collection” asks for you to “bet on yourself.” The four main colors of casino chips influence more than 100 garments in the collection – their largest collection yet. Be it a card game inside your home, pub, or casino, CAMO reminds us that risk is important.

Rolling Stone Italy Debuts Rock & Roll Style, Vol. 1

rolling stone rock roll style issue 01 1 Rolling Stone Italy Debuts Rock & Roll Style, Vol. 1

One of the take homes from this past Pitti was a strong periodical from the minds behind Rolling Stone Italia.

Specially produced for the Italian reader during Pitti and Milan Fashion Week, Rolling Stone Italia’s Rock & Roll Style, Volume 1 is a well thought out men’s fashion and lifestyle publication that is of very high production. Photography and topics inside the publication remain current and tend to the needs of the Italian gentleman reading them. Inside readers will find everything from fashion tips, reviews, to detailed schematics of Brooks Saddles and Victorinox knives.

Props should be given to the staff at Rolling Stone Italy for putting this issue together. Clearly they worked overtime in bringing this special project to the market. It looks fantastic as you can see from my well read copy above.

If Rock and Roll Style featured split Italian/English text, it would give many of the men’s magazines on the market today a serious run for their money. Did we mention that it is a free publication?

Grevi - Florentine Hat Makers since 1875

You hear the word “ancient” being used often in Florence when it comes to the fashion and textile industry. Hat makers, Grevi are another example of a business that has been around for longer than most – 1875 to be specific. The Florentine based factory pushed their in-house family label in the early 80’s and today their shop in the “ancient” city remains a destination for fine hat making. Here’s a look at their Autumn 2012 offering.

Pitti – Turms Shoe Care Kits, Stands, and Walnut Shoeboxes

turms shoeshine kits 2012 5 Pitti Turms Shoe Care Kits, Stands, and Walnut Shoeboxes

We covered Turms back in Aug of 2011. Today we revisit the Turms collection of shoe care kits, foot stools and wooden shoe boxes – easily some of the more beautiful indulgences in the footwear game (without actually producing a shoe) that we viewed here at Pitti Uomo. Italian walnut is used throughout their furniture and stands. Very much for the man in your life who takes footwear as serious as these guys.

Pitti – Tabarro Autumn/Winter 2012 – Modern Day Cloaks

Tabarro Autumn/Winter 2012 - Modern Day Cloaks

Tabarro’s been around for some time. The Italian garment maker is best known for the cloaks, adorned with silver crest closures worthy of an classic film or portrait. Tabarro also serves up a good dose of men’s outwear and classic lace-ups that belong in the same motion pictures. Again, worth a look for anyone in the market for one of the best cloaks on the market. Thanks to Marco for directing us to this great line.

Pitti - Redux Autumn/Winter 2012 - Italian Denim, Sanforized

Looking for denim that takes inspiration from the fanatical Japanese market? Consider Redux, a one year young Italian denim house that introduces the classic “workwear” looks for the local market. No word on distribution outside of Italy, but worth a look. Soft sanforized denim and well done. Seen at Pitti Uomo.
