Outdoor bag maker, Jansport, goes premium in the right direction with their Carbon collection for Barneys. The Carbon collection brings five styles in black leather and canvas in blocked black leather, making them some of the best from Jansport in some time. The ruggedness of the outdoors is blended to work for the urban needs of most. A very slick, finished collection. Five forms of bags make up the collection, including two classics from the Jansport line as well as some new surprises as the Bruckner Tablet Case for your iPad needs. The Carbon collection from Jansport is available exclusively through Barneys stores and online.

More O.C. specials coming down way for this year’s Fashion’s Night Out. Jansport delivers a varuety of styles from their heritage line in bold ways for the Opening Ceremony exclusives. “Each backpack or mini tote comes with an Opening Ceremony victory sign patch, applied wherever you like on the bag at FNO.” Good looks.

We have covered a few pieces from this collection briefly, but with the opportunity to shoot our own looks at the variety of bags which are part of the Jansport Hertitage line, we could not resists. They look as far back as 1967 (and through the late 80’s) to pull a variety of bags used for hike, ski, commutes, and more. The “Westridge” and “Hoss” backpacks are some great looks which comes in an boxy form with an angle top.

Jansport pulls out the heritage treatment on their Snowqualmie Duffle Bags. Available in three shades, with our favorite being the “retro orange,” the duffle bags are made from weathered Cordura fabric, feature one large main compartment with antique brass metal zippers, front & side gear pockets, wraparound seat belt webbing grab handles. Jansport Heritage drops this vintage 767 Burhorn Backpack based on the original 1980’s design.
