Maison Kitsuné - Autumn/Winter 2011 - Illustrated by Jean-Philippe Delhomme

Two in a row from France. Kitsune delivers these wonderful illustrations from their “Maison” Fall Winter 2011 collection. Illustrated by Jean-Phillipe Delhomme (also know as The Unknown Hipster), they give designer, Masaya Kuroki’s fashions a pleasant look. This is not Delhomme’s first work for Kitsune. selectism - "How To Be A Man" Book

Reading “How To Be a Man: A Guide To Style and Behavior For The Modern Gentleman How To Be A Man Book ” hammers down a whole host of personal inadequacies. However, Glenn O’Brien’s essays are also incredibly entertaining, no surprise given the author’s legend and tenure as the “Style Guy.” He’s full of wit, wisdom, and can talk about art in everyday conversation. Basically, traits too many of us lack, but may gain if capable of following the easily digestible advice available from Rizzoli next month.

HOW TO BE A MAN by Glenn O’Brien, Rizzoli New York, 2011.

Available from Amazon How To Be A Man Book .

Illustrations from the book, prepared by Jean-Phillippe Delhomme come after the jump.

The Moment | The Unknown Hipster Interview

Selectism - unknown-hipster

The Moment have a nice interview with illustrator Jean Phillipe Delhomme, the man behind the Unknown Hipster blog. The conversation flits from his background to specific blog posts to tips on how to beat this recession. One ‘it’s-funny-because-it’s-true’ answer is when he’s asked about how fashion is dealing with the economy.

“You go to fashion shows and everybody is still hysterical. They are still producing and everything is great! Either way, fashion people are disconnected from reality. I mean most of them.”

highsnobiety - Colette x Gap | Paris x New York Artist Series T-Shirts

After recently giving you a first look at the upcoming special products of the Colette x Gap concept store, that will be opening its doors on September 6th in New York City, we show you today the Paris x New York City artist series t-shirts that were made for the occasion.

Colette and Gap have invited artists from both Paris and New York to design t-shirts for the pop-up store. Each t-shirt is designed by one Parisian artist and one New York artist together – a group of Paris-based artists have come up with design concepts that a group of New York artists completed. The line-up includes t-shirts by Artus x Peter Arkle, Miss Tic x Claw Money, Jean-Philippe Delhomme x Ruben, Thomas Lelu x Tobias Wong, Genevieve Gauckler x Eric Elms (here above) and Andre x Neckface (here above).
