Designer Joey Roth’s returns back to highly successful ceramic design speakers with a reboot in black. Using their new design diaphragm for improved sound, the Roth speakers look as strong in black as they do the original white. They retain the wood platform base and as they say: wood makes everything sound better. They debut this Thursday on the Joey Roth site. Be sure to check out Roth’s other design work.

Joey Roth’s latest project looks to hark back to a time of wood mice with compression clicks. It’s clearly a nicer form, replacing the “razor” movement with a precision optical control. It’s very much a modern mouse with an incredibly unique form. “The Felt Mouse will be launched on the 13th this month, part of American Design Club’s “Use Me” exhibit.”

Joey Roth returns with his latest deisgn, the Sorapot. “Sorapot is a unique, modern teapot. Its architectural shape and simple functionality bring tea’s quiet beauty into sharp focus. The newly launched Gselect online shop has a pair of ceramic speakers from designer Joey Roth which deserve a look. “Their 4″ full-range drivers and T-class amplifier, encased in acoustically dead porcelain and cork, create a remarkably simple path from source to ear. System includes a dedicated amplifier based on the Tripath 2024 T-Amp, oxygen-free copper speaker cables with banana plug termination, and interconnects for RCA and 1/8″ sources.” Look for them in October.
