Selectism - Claiborne by John Bartlett Autumn/Winter 2009

Jason Dike (our man in London) may approve of these looks from the second collection by John Bartlett for Claiborne. The A/W looks from “Claiborne by John Bartlett” offer well priced looks from men without the usual embellishments found at this pricepoint. Clean, refined looks styled with that “workwear meets the streets” manner.

Selectism - NYFW John Bartlett for Spring 2009

Give it to men.style for getting up those Spring looks from Fashion Week in NYC this week (as well as a major upgrade in runway shots for screen I must add). Profiling the latest from John Bartlett, Tim Blanks describes the collection. "Bartlett’s recent collections have felt like the stuffing’s been knocked out of them, so it was uplifting to see what amounted to a return to the form he displayed more than a decade ago. In a tightly edited 20 looks, he offered one of his signature meditations on masculinity… Bartlett loves butch, which meant the short sleeves on his shirts… Torsos were defined by the seams of trim cabana shirts."
