The Natural Dye Trilby and Natural Dye Player are made from natural dyes and dye extracts sourced from ethical suppliers.

selectism - Kangol Spring 2011

Kangol offers escape from the snow covered days we’ve been battling on the East Coast. “Inspired by East Coast surf culture, and easy breezy summer days, the Kangol Spring 2011 collection invites us to take cover with effortless sophistication. The colorful campaign imagery is borrowed from vintage movie posters from the 60’s. The Kangol Spring 2011 campaign was shot on location in Montauk at the Montauk Yacht Club. Fitting, since it is one of the most sought after surfing destinations on the East Coast, where the casual beach lifestyle is alive and thriving. Tradition melds with new construction, materials, and technique from all over the globe to result in new styles and patterns for all to enjoy. Men’s, women’s, and children’s styles available. Men’s, women’s, and children’s styles available, as well as eco-friendly bamboo and natural dyed hats.”

selectism - Kangol Summer 2010 Hats

Kangol doesn’t stray too far from the expected with their Summer 2010 collection.

Items like the above number, with ship type print, do show a slight increase in flair, but most of the offerings stick to the tried and true. Kangol flat caps are basically timeless, and color seasonal color choice only serves to update the look for the immediate moment. For the most part, Kangol continues to offer accessible, simple, and largely safe headwear. Good stuff, which keeps well to the Kangol DNA.

But, there is also a safari look if you need. Check it after the jump.

selectism - Kangol Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

“Born British, raised on the streets of New York”

Kangol’s Spring/Summer 2010 campaign Future Reflections takes cues from George Lucas’ THX 1138 and Stanley Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange. “Tradition, quality, and craftsmanship are fundamental to Kangol headwear SS2010.  Tropic anchors the collection and welcomes the new Duke Trilby and a fine assortment of blocked jacquard patterns.  Bamboo is a staple in natural knits with the new Mowbray pork pie shape.  Moss Stitch and Side Stripe elevate natural fibers to stylish heights.  Spiral Knit uses a luxurious blend of spring-weight merino and tencel yarn. Liberty Art Fabrics are offered in an Italian-made capsule collection.  Italy also provides the Kangol Heritage and Neo Checks.  We return to Japan for Toki Sen-i Japanese Jersey and Kowa denim and twill.  These Kangol classics are made with pride, and are designed to function with a continued focus on style.”
