One of many ‘misunderstood’ performers to sport a blouse through the ages, finally Mr West had his Bowie/Morrissey/Liberace silk shirt moment, his place in music/fashion crossover history cemented. The thing is, that print was pretty amazing, if a little ostentatious, definitely something you’d have to have a good think about before putting on.

So, perhaps you’d be happier cruising around on one of these skateboards produced by blogger ‘Stop it Right Now‘? Seemingly a personal project, we’re still in the dark as to whether you’ll ever be able to purchase one but we’ve got to give the lady a round of applause for such a creative use of a jazzy shirt print.

The “Louis Vuitton Don” bangs it out again with his favorite of fashion houses. The Kanye West for Louis Vuitton sneakers have been anticipated for some time and, of course, made their premiere during Vuitton’s Men’s Show last week in Paris. We can finally bring you some product views of three colorways from one of the models. Red, black, and white. Extra achilles protection on the rear and all Kanye. They land in Louis Vuitton stores this June.

Dazed Digital caught up with Kanye West at the launch of his Louis Vuitton collaboration and asked him a few questions about how he got into fashion, his aspirations as a designer and how his LV collab came about. When asked about how he got into fashion West replied:

“I picked out my own clothes when I first went to kindergarten and there’s no turning back since. And I’ve always been into clothes and I’ve always been into myself. And none of that’s changed since I’ve become a celebrity. It’s just allowed me to be more into myself and more into clothes!”

WWD reports in with word of a soon to come collection of footwear by Kanye West for Louis Vuitton. "Kanye West is very much on first-name terms with Louis Vuitton. ‘I’m here for Louis,’ drawled the rapper at Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle Friday, disclosing that he’s collaborating on a men’s shoes line for the brand."

Time will only tell what output comes of this collection. We’re certainly hoping for grandness.

With impatience many are waiting to see the first collection of Kanye Wests upcoming clothing line, Pastelle. Now word got out that Ksubi from Australia, will be working on a sunglass collection for Pastelle.

“The 10-time Grammy winner will launch Ksubi for Pastelle globally in October. The range, designed by George Gorrow, will feature limited-edition gold frames, which will sell for about $2000. Japanese buyers have already placed orders, sight unseen.

West first worked with Gorrow and his business partner Dan Single in 2006 to create stage eyewear for West’s music video clips.” Via SMH/Highsnobiety.
