jmweston maison kitsune loafer shoes 1 J.M. Weston for Maison Kitsuné Loafers

We needed a better look at the J.M. Weston loafer – an exclusive to the new Maison Kitsune shop opening on the ground level of the new NoMad Hotel. Michel Perry and Masaya Kuroki work over the French shoe maker’s Loafer 180 model with glazed/grainy black calfskin with all finished stained in black to match the upper. Heavy formal on this one. Goodyear stitch finished it. Find it starting April 19 at Maison Kitsuné at NoMad – New York at 1170 Broadway and at J.M. Weston at 600 Madison Avenue. Look left.

Maison Kitsuné Store Inside Nomad Hotel NYC + Special Shoes

Where the hell is NoMad? Good word direct from our friends at Kitsune is that the Parisian brand will be opening doors on their New York flagship very soon. The shop will be prominently featured on the first floor of the new Nomad Hotel at 1170 Broadway. A bunch of brands will sit side by side with Kitsune in their new digs including: WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie, Michel Vivien and Aesop apothecary. Expect special make-ups for the shop as well including a pair of J.M. Weston loafers. A good look.

Maison Kitsuné - Autumn/Winter 2011 - Illustrated by Jean-Philippe Delhomme

Two in a row from France. Kitsune delivers these wonderful illustrations from their “Maison” Fall Winter 2011 collection. Illustrated by Jean-Phillipe Delhomme (also know as The Unknown Hipster), they give designer, Masaya Kuroki’s fashions a pleasant look. This is not Delhomme’s first work for Kitsune. In Spring 2011, he illustrated the collection in a similar manner.

PROJECT 10 | Kitsune Tee

22 August 2011, 23.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

Project 10 Kitsune Tee-01

Based in Paris, Kitsune is making some of our favorite graphic t-shirts  and are bringing the new Kitsune TEE to North America for the first time in Spring/Summer 2012. It’s a more accessible line than the main Kitsune collection.

Where are you from?

The brand is from Paris.

How did you start?

The collections have been available since 2005. The founders are Gildas Loaec, Masaya Kuroki, and London-based brand Abake (which in Japanese is Kitsune).

What are the key features of your brand?

The t-shirts are all made in Japan. All our denim is Kuroki Japanese denim. Our line features a bunch of collaborations this season, included Hearts Revolution, one of the bands on our label.

What’s it like being part of Project 10?

We are super lucky, because it is a good way to launch the t-shirt collection in North America. Feedback has been great, and people are excited to see brand presence here.

Finally, what is your favorite thing about Vegas?

The food is good.
