selectism - S.N.S. Herning Naval Crew

By now you should have realized that we love authentic goods. S.N.S. Herning falls exactly into that category, producing heavy naval knitwear since over 30 years. About two years ago the brand started popping up in fashion stores and is ever since celebrating its revival.

Nevertheless, to date, the brand still offers the very same naval crew necks that they produced from day one, just now they offer some more exciting colors.

Oi Polloi has re-stocked them and for those in the USA, visit Rogues Gallery for domestic orders. Perfect for the Fall.

Drumohr has one hell of a history. James Paterson started the company back in 1773 in southern Scotland where the "calcium-rich waters" gave their cashmere an "unequalled softness." Today the company still remains true to their legendary heritage and has expanded to using wools, cotton, and more in developing what may be some fo the best knitwear in the world.  Looks for Drumohr at finer retailers or online at Yoox.

highsnobiety - Gram x S.N.S. Herning

Gram shoes got together with Danish knitwear brand S.N.S. The knitwear experts, known for their heavy winter knits, used for many years by fishermen, have produced laces for Gram, matching their latest range of jumpers.

"In the city of Herning on the Danish island of Jutland lies the knitting mill of S.N.S. Squeezed in between two giant flatbeds on the factory floor stands an old shoelace machine all but forgotten, this collaboration is the story of how it came back to life, and how 250 pairs of handmade wool laces came about. S.N.S. x gram laces will premier exclusively at Solo Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm from September, and later be available through selected stores worldwide for a limited time only. Price €13.99." Via Sneaker Freaker.

Gram Design Footwear

Swedish brand Gram Design has made a name for itself in the footwear market. Unlike other brands, they had quite an innovative/creative idea of naming their various shoe models – according to weight. All their shoes are called after their weight in grams.

Gram Design Knitwear

The footwear comes in interesting materials and patterns, but is mostly not the athletic, but dressy side. In their A/W ‘07 collection the brand expanded as well into knitwear, presenting a nice small selection of quality knitwear with designs on them!

Let’s see what the Spring will bring from Gram!

Atelier La Durance Cardigan

20 November 2007, 20.21 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

RTEmagicC ald cardigan.jpg Atelier La Durance Cardigan

Atelier La Durance is one of those special labels, that keeps their collection very small and sticks to the basics. Also they only make products, where they can be sure they are of the best quality and it would be impossible to make it better. At the same time they only create timeless pieces, that once they entered the collection come back every season. This perfectionism is something we admire about the brand.

Specialized in denim, the brand has also launched a nice knitwear collection and now added a cardigan to it. Made from a cashmere, angora & lambswool mix it features a classic straight cut with a slightly oversized button fastening. It has a ribbed cuff and hem finish and two patch pockets. Using the longer fibers, the tight knit retains its proper shape and softness. The Atelier LaDurance embroidered logo comes in a subtle blue on the chest with a side seam label.

The cardigan is now available in navy blue and grey at Oki-Ni.
