We’d had to evoke Usher on this esteemed site, but sometimes we like things purely because they remind us of other things. Take this Assembly New York flannel blazer for instance. We can’t look at it without thinking Kolor, which is no bad thing given our love for that label. We’ve also got a thing for forest green at the moment, one of the most versatile colours a man can have in his wardrobe.

We’ve always had a soft spot for Kolor. They reciprocated our soft spot by making a soft blazer, just for us. Well, not just for us, but we’d like to think we were in mind when this was made. Por Vocacao gives us a preview of a forthcoming jacket, coming in October from Kolor and Bogioli that benefits the Save the Children charity; specifically for the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief. The two garment collection features a garment dyed jacket available in either cashmere or performance cotton as tailored by Bogioli in Italy. 600 units of the deconstructed jacket are being produced. An absolutely great cause for charity and children.

Our friends over at Boglioli have just sent us this exclusive preview of their special collaboration project with Kolor to help the victims of the 2011 Japanese earthquake. The result of this creative partnership is a two-piece capsule collection of garment dyed jackets, available in cashmere and high performance cotton, bringing together the fine Italian tailoring, innovative fabrics research and garment treatments Boglioli is distinctively known for, and Kolor’s conceptual and deconstructed designs for the sophisticated, fashion-forward consumer. Featuring a limited production of only 600 pieces worldwide, all proceeds from the sale of the two jackets will be donated to Save the Children Japan. We are happy to say we will be one of the few shops who will be carrying this. Arriving late October.

Kolor’s autumn collection has just fell in stores – albeit in Japan – and it’s a perfect excuse for us to feature one of our favourite brands. We’ve featured this cardigan in its various forms for eons now but we’re still as enamoured with it as we always were. It’s a Japanese so you know what time it is* (Mindtrive)

We’re still obsessed with spring jackets. This happened last year – much to the annoyance of several readers – and we’re at it again. We promise we’ll try and find the perfect panama right after this. In fairness to, ummm, ourselves, this is a linen blend jacket, so at least you’ll be able to wear it in spring. The only issue would be the price tag. (Browns)

We still feel it’s a little early to be swapping our chunky knits for lightweight blazers, but here’s something that’ll be good for a few months down the line. You could even wear it now, provided you layer it with a light crewneck and an overcoat. And, although the embroidery clearly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, we still like the blazer enough to recommend it. (Farfetch)

We love a bit of patchwork, so posting up this shirt was nearly guaranteed. We’re not really fans of paying over £600 for that privilege, but the Yen to Euro exchange rate these days hurts us in more ways than one. If we had to be fussy, we could do without the ribbon detail on the chest. And if you’re about to spend that amount of money on a shirt, we’re sure you will be fussy about these things. (Farfetch)

We’ve been liking Kolor and pieces like this are the reason why. Although, the cost of pieces like this are the reason why our closet isn’t overflowing in the label. That said, if you’ve got the coins it’s well worth the purchase. As Rick Ross would’ve say, you can’t put a cost on looking like a bawse. (Browns)
