Presented for the first time during Paris Fashion Week, we now have a full look at the collaborative collection LEE KRISVANASSCHE for Autumn/Winter 2012. High fashion works again with the world of denim and workwear as designer Kris van Assche revisits and re-interprets garments from the LEE for a five style collection – including a denim jacket, jeans, and shirts – in two colorways of workwear blye and dark brown. Leather and gun metallic details as well as tonal stitching “reflect” Kris van Assche’s personal style. The LEE KRISVANASSCHE collection works for us for its simple re-works and cuts. We’re looking forward to seeing more.

Hsnob points us at the third season of the Eastpak collaboration with designer, Kris Van Assche. Eastpak is a smart animal: rather than re-inventing themselves and their backpacks for the modern day, the invite the very best names in fashion to give a lending hand on cooperative collections that brings new takes on classic designs. Let heritage be heritage… this is pushing towards something new.

“Memory of a cool attitude and the warming sun” in the mood set for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Kris van Assche. Spring for van Assche, as it is for many others, focuses on a relaxed flavor; we clearly need it after 2011.

We look specifically at the sunglass collection from Kris van Assche. The frames, with their bluish soldering stains, are a forward move away from the classic aviator. A little risk looks to be the order and we applaud it.

Another great magazine release. Dapper Dan manages to offer something a little conceptual without crossing the line into pretentious. Described as a magazine “interested in inspiration, not novelty”, now on its fourth issue, the Athens publication features pieces on Kris Van Assche, Ann Demeulemeester, Richard Wirick, Paolo Rovers, Robert Rabensteiner, Philip Aarons, AA Bronson, Jung and Wenig and musician Piero Ilov.

The Snobs look over the latest collection of backpacks and day bags from the Kris van Assche collection for Eastpak. Spring 2012 looks to offer another great collection of options for the gents and women. “he new Eastpak by KRISVANASSCHE Collection consists of backpacks, messenger bags, helmet tote bags and smaller pouches as well, each coming in a series of colors.” 11 styles in all are found in the collection.

In the early part of 2011 we briefly introduced the Kris van Assche x Easpak Autumn/Winter collaboration, eagerly anticipating its release. Now, as the range begins to appear at various retailers on and offline, we thought it time to provide focus on one of the key items from the line, the classic rucksack.

The nylon rucksack comes in a trio of warm autumnal shades; a medley of browns and burnt orange sit alongside cooler accents in the form of grey shoulder straps with silver coloured hardware. The bag introduces the elegant, minimal house-style of KvA atop a typically Eastpak silhouette, boasting multiple pockets, a removable document holder and an interesting key clip. The clip, though a small accent, acts as a terribly symbolic addition to the piece – merging contemporary style with great functionality. Now available at Diverse Clothing. -jr

Interview magazine is an odd beast. When they get an interesting celeb interviewer, the features are great. When they get Waka Flocka Flame, not so much. This is a great one, as they’ve got Rick Owens to interview Kris Van Assche. As you’d expect it’s pretty fashtastic, with tales of the last time they met, KVA’s introduction into fashion and tattoos.
