Girls is denim always works. ksubi looks to bring focus back to colored denim with their latest film. “Cult Australian fashion label ksubi, toast the long awaited return of their coloured denim range, with a short film directed by Australian director Daniel Askill. kolors is a fume-fuelled, slow-motion battle between three colour-clad models and a trio of ‘80s muscle cars.” Sure, we’ve seen the slo-mo smoke accents before (think skate videos)

Ksubi ‘Beware, Wear” 1101 Collection Autumn/Winter 2011

Ksubi Men's Fall 2011

Ksubi looks back into their own history for inspiration found in the 1101 collection for Autumn 2011. Rather than falling into the trends found on USA shores, they continue to do their own shit – and doing it well. Here’s what they say: “Experimenting with differing tactile and visual elements, the idea of ‘merging’ by focusing on internal detailing from reversed fabrics to external seams and layering…The colour palette for the season draws from the elements. From ash to slate, smoke to jet, a sombre yet sophisticated palette is then lifted through moss, khaki and deep plum. Red is rusted and bloody in ‘beware, wear’ complimented by soft sand and fresh neutrals.”

ksubi eyeglasses Ksubi Eyeglasses on the Horizon

For the four eyed variety like myself, we’re always open to brands jumping aboard the eyewear train. The more the merrier I say – widens my options a bit during my next hunt. Men.style discusses the forthcoming eyeglass line from Australia’s Ksubi, who have in the past, dabbled in the world of sunglasses. “For the line’s first optical glasses, however, they’ve toned down the hipster quotient: The Japanese-made frames, available this fall at Ksubi boutiques and selected retailers, come in several cool-nerd shapes, like the chunky Crux (pictured)…”

Tiga for Ksubi Eyewear Frames

tiga for ksubi sunglasses Tiga for Ksubi Eyewear Frames

TIGA’s first big musical hit came with his version of Corey Harts 80’s hit “Sunglasses at Night” back during the early days of the “Electroclash” movement. Today, with the help of Australia’s Ksubi, he re-invents sunglasses again in the form of an eyeglass frame. Black in color and unique in shape, TIGA has the following to say on the look.

“I hate sunglasses, they get between me and the sun…. but if I wore them they would be like the ones I hand-designed for ksubi….the arms are specially engineered to support any ear size, the “glasses” part aren’t even glass, but a hyper-modern plastic lens that rarely falls out and when it does can be popped back into place they are black and absorb heat leaving your nose and face extra cool.”

Personally, I like the look of TIGA for Ksubi. Fits in with my dark side.
