If you read Selectism on a regular basis, you’ll know we’re all about the quirky design pieces. Give us a lamp that looks good and we’re happy – regardless of whether they work or not.  This design code lamp ticks all our boxes. As much as we love our functional designs, we do enjoy a quirky piece from time to time. Take this reading light for instance. Is it practical? no. Is it functional? not really. But it is fun. It’s perfect as an office talking point, especially if you’re a PR firm who has to wow us gormless bloggers and press folk. It’s also relatively cheap, coming in at £31.25. (Hidden Art)

A.P.C. has released their Spring/Summer 2008 Madras collection. It’s a collection designed by Jessica Ogden and Jean Touitou. The fact that the line is entirely made in India is not only reflected in the materials, but also in the style and looks.

As always, it’s a very interesting and nice collection. It is now available at A.P.C. stores and also in their online store.
