No fading a strong messenger bag, and this plumper from Lanvin has extra roominess working for it. That and a fanciful and pleasantly busy geometric print that traffics in forces EMT and vaguely Navaho. Lots of pockets on this one and, as mentioned, lots of space for all that stuff you are always carrying around. A detachable shoulder strap puts it securely on you when you are sprinting down alleyways, scrambling up fire-escapes and leaping between rooftops. LN-CC has it.

The Mr Handsome of Japanese football, Hidetoshi Nakata, now retired, stars in this Editorial over at Mr Porter. Featuring the likes of Brioni, Beams +, Lanvin and Ralph Lauren, the 32 year old is looking pretty slick. Having spent he’s time after football travelling the world (over 100 countries he claims) Mr Nakata is looking to produce his own brand of that king of brews, Sake. “It would be cool to have one of the best sakes in the world. It’s like having a Château Mouton or Gaja – if you are the owner of that kind of wine. You go to good restaurants in London, in New York, and then you can order your own sake. That’s cool.”

Lanvin celebrates the last 10 years of Alber Elbaz’ work with the publication of their new book, Alber Elbaz, Lanvin. The book is also a look at the creative work behind Lanvin’s Winter 2011 collection and is only available in a hardbound deluxe edition with a handmade cover, “bound in silk grosgrain cloth, black foil stamping on front and spine, hand-gilded edging with engraved typography, delivered in a handmade cardboard box.” Inside the book are more than 688 pages with 317 plates.

We would be kidding ourselves if we did not lust over this pair of silk sweats from the Lanvin house. Part of their SS2012 offering, these easy and breezy sweatpants are finished in black silk with dark navy cuffs and waistband, and offer a two-sided opening. This is casual luxury at its finest. Measure properly before buying as you’ll want a lil’ sag in that look. They don’t come cheap though. Expect to pay around $424 a pair. LN-CC has them.

LANVIN gets a lil playful with their Spring 2012 campaign flick. They knocked on Pharrell’s door and he introduced the fashion house to 18-year old Maxine Ashley who brings a step of youthful energy to the shoot. “Cookieman,” plays through the track and will be available on Ms. Ashley’s debut album.
