Lanvin has celebrated a tremendous comeback in recent years, mainly due to their ready-to-wear collection. A good part of that success can also be contributed to their popular sneaker line.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, the popular hi top sneakers return. Aloha Rag and Barneys got them in this weekend in black, brown and beige. All three come in a mix of patent leather and suede and look as usual very sleek. If you got a spare 820 USD, then this is a good way to invest them.

With the visit of Lucas Ossendrijver, Lanvin’s head mens designer, to their Tokyo Flagship Store, Openers Japan took the opportunity to film and interview Ossendrijver who discusses the current state of affairs at the high end fashion label.

London’s Dover Street Market is currently getting in the Autumn/Winter 2008 collection from their designers. Also the store welcomes several new spaces by guest designers in the building.

This season Salvatore Ferragamo is in the house showcasing 80 years of archive pieces. Hussein Chalayan’s new collection can be purchased on the third floor (picture above), Lanvin has a new space and Yves Saint Laurent presents Edition 24, a space designed by theatrical set designer Michael Howells.

Recently the Lanvin x ACNE collaboration was announced. Today we came across the denim sneakers that are part of the collaboration on Sarah’s blog. We have always been big fans of Lanvin high top sneakers, that coupled with ACNE denim is just perfect.

These are coming out November ‘08.

DNR reports, "Alber Elbaz’s rejuvenation of Lanvin is spreading further into the men’s department, with a new-look store coming to London’s Savile Row this fall…The 1,600-square-foot boutique at 30-32, which will replace an outmoded unit on New Bond Street, will showcase the French brand’s runway collection, its classic 15 Faubourg line plus made-to-measure, a pillar of Lanvin’s men’s wear business since the ‘20s." Japan’s OPENERS profiles the Lanvin Tokyo Flagship store with a brief summary of designer Lucas Ossendrijver’s first visit to Japan which coincided with a Lanvin menswear showing at the Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art.

FWD is reporting that Lanvin designer, Alber Elbaz is in the “intial stages” of creating a denim line for Stockholm’s Acne Jeans. ” Alber Elbaz is delving into new territory: denim. The Lanvin designer revealed to Fashion Week Daily that he’s in the initial stages of creating his first jeans line with Stockholm-based Acne Jeans. “I want to bring Lanvin into their know-how,” Elbaz said Monday night at the Parsons benefit and fashion show…  While he noted that no official contract has been signed, Elbaz remains extremely excited about the project. “What if you don’t want to wear a skinny jean?”

Lanvin has released some new sneakers as part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The brand has been increasingly popular with their sneaker collection, combining interesting colors and materials, while keeping an overall clean look. The low top sneakers this season come both with and without strap and are now available in the Barneys online store.

Since Lanvin launched their Pret-A-Porter collection a couple of years ago, the name pops up everywhere. The oldschool French brand is on the map again and their range of sneakers as well.

Here we present you some styles out of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection, both high-top and low-top sneakers. Of course they used great quality materials and the toe cap comes in patent leather on all sneakers, which is also a nice touch.
